Q: Do some Junior High school and Middle Schools start later than the Elementary/High Schools?
I heard that some Middle schools start around 9:30am and High school around 7:30 with Elementary around 8:00. My Junior High starts at 7:25. Do some middle schools start at 9 or later?

A: It's my experience that elementary schools start a bit earlier-- at 8:00, while the middle and high schools start at the same time-- 8:30. There are specialized times for certain things though. Like at my high school I'm in an AP program that lets me take 6 classes a day as opposed to the normal for us, which is 4. But this requires me to be there at 7:30. There's a local early college high school that doesn't start until 9:30 or so, but that's not a full-on public school. I suppose that a middle school beginning at 9:00 isn't impossible, there just isn't one like that here.

Q: Why should middle schools have a shorter lunch?
In middle schools we have a half hour of lunch what are some reasons we should have a shorter lunch?

A: It doesn't take 30 minutes to eat. So once kids are done eating they will have free time. Research shows fights greatly increase in middle and high schools when kids have free unstructured time.

A: If there is a longer lunch, that means it takes time from other periods when you could be learning. Teachers would be forced to rush whatever they are teaching, and since you would not have as much time to work, that would mean more homework.

Q: do all middle schools in Augusta Georgia have those ugly gym uniforms?
i just moved to georgia and in my old school we had to wear shorts and a ugly brown t-shirt and i rather wear like a skirt and a cute blouse. Anyways my question is if all or most middle schools in augusta have gym uniforms?

A: nope. Not at my school or any of the others in Columbia county anyways.. I'm at Riverside Middle if that's where she's going and we don't have to wear anything to school tells us to except the dress code. Good Luck in Augusta, Great Place :p.

Q: I am taking a film making class and I need advice on middle schools?
I need to make a love story film for my film making class. I decided to do it on middle school love because I "loved" this guy in the sixth grade, but he dumped me for the slut. I was wondering how a sixth grade girl makes herself "sexy" for her boyfriend.

A: Oh definitely make up, lip stick, eyeliner. She'll try to pose in an amateurish slutty way. Ear rings and necklaces.

Q: I like this girl that i went to middle school with but now we go to different high schools?
I still like her and we were great friends in middle school but we haven't kept in touch. Some of her friends know i like her though and they go to her school. What should i do? Should i try to contact her or just give up? Also im kinda shy.

A: My guideline is this. If I like some I tell them so. If I have lost touch with someone and want to get back in touch I make the effort to get in touch. It is possible that were you to reach out to the girl that you could build a good friendship and possibly even more. It you do not try to get in touch with her then the outcome is a sure-bet that nothing will happen. If you can get in touch with her you can disclose to her that you are shy. Stating this increases the probability that you can reinvigorate the friendship because she will know that you are shy instead of simply assuming that you are disinterested.

Q: Does anyone know any good middle schools in broward county?
From experience. It doesn't have to be public. It can be private, magnet, charter, or even catholic... It has to have middle school but I don't really care if it also has elementary or highschool. Thank you!!!

A: They could, but it puts them in a liability. As an agent, I always provide where they can find that information & they can call & make their own determination. Many school have websites. States also often have websites where you can go & visit what ranking each school has along with other info. A: I don't think there are any... all the private schools I know about are associated with churches. I've looked :( to my utter disgust. your best bet would be either the yellow pages under schools- charter, or driving to Temple.....
