Q: george bush school of government and public service?
I am working on my bachelors degree and I was wondering what I should major in if I plan on going to the george bush school of government and public service following my graduation. I want to get my MPSA and I am just not sure where I should start with a major....any suggestions? It is named after his father...so get your facts straight. I asked for suggestions not rude opinions.

Our class wants to know if George Washington or Abraham Lincoln rode a fairy or a horse to school. We think it is George because he loved horses. Though we are not positive. So...anyone know?

A: George Washington never went to school, he he was educated in the home by his father and older brother. Abraham Lincoln had very little schooling, that he walked to and was largely self-educated and an avid reader.

A: GW is not ranked, but it is considered to be low on the totem pole in terms of prestige. Don't let that stop you though, an environment that allows you to succeed is far more important,

I am a freshman in college, but considering transferring. I think I have until March to send in transfer applications, I was wondering about GWU and the communications program. For the first semester of my freshman year in college I got a 3.6 GPA, and am involved in a variety of things. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

A: some say gdubs overrated but idk man i think every school within gwu is good since its in dc and we got lots of opportunities...internships just make sure you can afford it here, cause fuck ive already paid over 200000 and i still havent graduated yet.

Q: Is George Mason University a hard school to get into?
Im thinking about going to GMU for graduate school.

A: My daughter was accepted there for grad school studies in transportation. Didn't go though as no financial aid was offered and it was expensive. She got a full ride elsewhere in transportation. She had about a 3.45 undergrad GPA and the school loved her thesis on highway safety issues. The undergrad school she went to required a thesis to graduate.

Q: George Washington Medical School and Hospital vs. Georgetown Medical School and Hospital?
I was wondering which medical school and hospital has a better reputation in PRIMARY CARE. I checked the US News sites and others but they only tell me about the research. US News doesn't have a ranking for the two in PRIMARY CARE. Can someone help? The time is approaching when I have to decide which medical school I want to go to and I'm terrified of making the wrong decision. Both schools aren't renowned for research, but I want to know about patient care more than anything else. Is there a source that compares their hospitals at least?

A: Have you been accepted at both? Congrats. If you are considering which you want to go to at some later point, I'm afraid that you usually don't have that much choice in the matter! Georgetown is slightly higher ranked, but neither is going to really make you better than you work to be. Residency is by FAR more important for learning the clinical part of medicine. Go to the school that you feel better at, or that has a teaching style you like. It'll get you better scores and, thus, more chance to choose your top primary care residency.

Q: Thoughts on George Herbert Walker giving $10 million to Webster College to school the disadvantaged?
This Republican business leader in St. Louis is a cousin of President George W. Bush.

A: It is good news, that GHW found a place to give the 10 Mill. to help the disadvantaged. What amazes me that someone will find something to criticize about his giving. There are many Philanthropist that do the same, and perhaps even more, however it is difficult to hear anyone express any thanks.

Q: Is George Washington University a very good school?
I have been told I am too smart to go to GW...even though I know it is a very good school. Others on my list include Duke University, Vanderbilt University, perhaps Tufts University, etc. I am not looking at Ivy Leagues because they do not offer merit scholarships and they are just too expensive and competitive. Also, I am considering a career in art. Would any of these colleges be a wise choice?

A: I can't speak to art, but in general, Duke and Vanderbilt are excellent schools, Tufts is very good, and GWU is just reasonably good. It might be a good back-up choice in case you don't get into the others, but I certainly would not choose GWU over the others.

Q: How Did George W. Bush Gain Admission to Harvard Business School of Harvard University?
Bush has said himself that he had a "C Average" at Yale University. Even if we assume that he had a phenomenal GMAT score, stellar application essays, and he had wonderful work experience, one would think that gaining admission to Harvard University with a "C Average" would still be difficult. How did he get in to HBS?

A: He was self-depreciating when t he said he got "C"'s...... Do a little research will ya! Al Gore Flunked out of Law School.... John Kerry barely made it out of Harvard... and George Bush got far better grades than either of his supposedly more Intelligent Democrat rivals. No Brag, just fact,... I got better grades than any of them while completing my Masters in Journalism at Harvard. BTW...we are still waiting for Obama to release HIS grades!....Hmmm, what do you think?
