Q: Do I have to change schools if I change school district?
I'm a junior in high school, and were moving to a neighboring county, out of my school district. If I don't tell the school I moved, can I still go there? And how would they ever find out?
A: I did the same thing. My mom took us to school, that took care of the transportation (bus) problem. If you are an athlete that might cause a problem. If you are an average Joe, like myself, I don't think they will care...unless overcrowding at the school is an issue. They might go by your physical address. I have heard of that happening.
Q: how much isthe stating pay at homer district 33c schools?
i was wondering what the startin pay was for a special ed aide working at a homer district 33 c school?also if a special ed aide had an asociate degree would they make more money?
A: it's depend how to teach....
Q: Georgia school district separates boys from girls in schools,do you agree?
ABC news reported that a school has seperated the boys and girls in their school hoping that it will improve the performance of the school in studies, prevent teenage pregnancy. They are also having seperate buildings for the two sexes
A: I am very sorry to bust bubbles ladies and gents, but seperating the sexes is a method with a proven track record. As a 23 year old African-American male that attended public schools in downtown Dallas, Texas and Downtown Newport News, VA I can attest that seperating the sexes will help students focus more. Trust me- teenage boys spend a large portion of their time at school seeing which guy can get the most girl's numbers. My little brother is living proof, and I can't lie he learned it from me. Looking back I wish I would have attended a school that seperated the sexes. I would have been more productive during my middle and high school years. I really want the state of VA to follow GA's lead and seperate the sexes. The state of VA's public school system is filled with kids such as myself and my little brother whom had no father in the house. Male students that have no fatherly guidance at home tend to arrive at their public schools with an agenda opposite that of the teacher. We believe we will become men by getting phone numbers and having sexual relationships. Trust me yahoo land, the seperating of the sexes will lead to explosive results that will be very positive. After I graduated high school at the bottom of my class, I joined the navy. In bootcamp, tech school, and the ship i was stationed on, the sexes were seperated. The results were very positive. In that environment I was able to focus like never before, eventually making the rank of E-5 at age 18 and earning an Associates degree at age 19. Two things that would have never been possible had I not been seperated from the opposite sex for
that period of time. I got married at age 22, and today I serve as a substitute teacher for the Hampton, VA school district while attending Old Dominion University. Trust me, the results
that will come from seperating the sexes will blow you guy's mind. Just wait till this GA school finishes their first year with seperated sexes. Until then don't ask questions, just view results!!!

Q: Does anyone know where to apply for a job building schools for the Los Angeles Unified School District?
A: well i am not sure about a school district but most places have a phone number or web address if you just call the number for the main office they mite be able to help but to do the work you are gonna have to be on a venders list so when you do call ask for a contracting department and then ask them how and what you need to get on the school districts vendor list . with some states, cities , counties, and school districts it can be a pain in the ass but work through it and in the end it is worth it .
good luck and sorry i couldnt hellp you any more then that
Q: How does the Milpitas Unified School District rank among the nations public schools?
A: no were near among the temecula valley school district located in sunny temecula, california .. tv .. u kno !! ..
Q: Could you tell me what state or district funds private schools?
If possible could you provide a source? I have a bet going on this one.
A: Florida, Cleveland, and Utah and a couple of other states, have "scholarship" or voucher programs for special needs children that can be used at private schools.
Some places, New York is one, allow the government to supply books and other materials, and special education services to private schools.
I don't know of any place where a private school is fully funded by a state or district.
Q: How many middle schools are there in the LAUSD (Los Angeles Unified School District) ?
plz and ty
need to know
because its important
A: Go to LAUSD's Find a School feature at http://notebook.lausd.net/schoolsearch/selector.jsp
Then use the pull down windows to list the schools listed under the A-M and N-Z sections.
You'll have your answer.
Q: Where do I find what schools are in my childs school district?
He is attending Stephan Decatur Middle school. We live in Clinton Maryland
A: Here is a great website that shows different information on the public schools in Prince George's County. It also includes a link to the district website. Hope this helps!
Q: How are the public schools in your district funded?
In Ohio it is a combination of property tax, state, and federal revenue. If possible, how much of each entity.
A: Arkansas has a special school tax, but apparently we need something more because all of our schools are in lack of something..
We have Huckabee to thank for that. T.T
Q: Can you transfer schools to a school not in your school district?
A: It depends on the state you live in as well as if the other school district accepts out of district students. Where we live, in Michigan, public school districts can declare themselves to be a School of Choice. They can set their own regulations, such as students must live in the same county. We also have Charter Schools that are not connected to a particular public school but are affiliated with the charter organization such as an Intermediate School District or a University. You would have to do some research about the school you wish to go to. You can call them and ask if they accept out of district students or you can go their website and see. Usually you will have to fill out an application. Some districts are a School of Choice, but only if their enrollment supports it. So, maybe there are openings in elementary grades, but not high school, so not everyone who wants to attend an out of district school meets the criteria. It is possible to transfer to another school district, but there will be some issues to consider.
Q: Olathe district schools vs. Blue Valley district schools?
I have a son that will be a junior this year in high school and we are moving to Kansas from Hamilton Co. , Indiana. I know that both Olathe and Blue Valley are good but which one is better, more friendly, normal high school? We don't want a school that thinks "they are better than everyone" attitude.
A: Better and friendlier really depends on your son's attitude and personality. Indiana and Kansas are not that similar overall, but he should fair well in either school. The links below can help you see the difference in some things, also what other parents have said about the schools. Good luck.
Q: Where can I find a list of the District of Columbia public schools of the years 1930, 1940, and 1950?
The black schools and white schools were separate at that time, and I want to compare the ratio of black to white schools with the population ratio.
A: Try this site
http://www.washlaw.org/pdf/Separate_and_Unequal_Report.pdf
Q: I want to switch schools, but its out of my district?
I live in this rinkydink town in Central Illinois, and I want to switch High Schools
How much do you think we would have to pay to switch to a school that's out of my district?
A: You don't pay.
you get something called an "Interdisctict Permit".
You've gotta get signed out of your home school (the one you should attend), and accepted into the other school (if you ask, they'll probably give you a list of requirements).
The steps (at least for leaving LAUSD, in CA. Dunno about Illinois) are:
1. Get permit form and fill it out
2. Get it stamped by home school, say you're leaving for "academic opportunity"
3. Mail it to your nearest permit office (again, can't say where that is. info may be at the district office)
4. They'll send it to the school. You wait and see if you're accepted.
At least I'm pretty sure that's right.
You could google "Interdistrict permit process" or something to find out with certainty.
