Ok so my brother is a junior in High School along with his friends and just about every saturday or friday they all get a group together and have sleepovers.They just hang out(and be annoying) and play video games, watch movies and a lot of the times play german spotlight. They are not drinking or anything, and my brother practically begs to either sleep at one of their homes or if about 3-5 of his guy friends can spend the night. Is it weird? Especially with all of them being boys?

A: Gosh - tough question. What do you think you should do??? Does it really matter what other kids think of you??? I am female and used to wear make up to school... I used to cop crap about it all the time, but honestly, it's not the end of the world if he tells everyone and everyone knows it's true... the guy is just trying to scare you, to make you feel little and scared. Perhaps just admit it and take it sweet. You really need to evaluate what the reasons are for school. School is a learning institute, not a fashion parade. Once you finish school you'll realise what a tiny issue it was. Perhaps use this experience as self expression, not everyone will accept who you are or the way you look. It's a fact of life. So find a way you're comfortable with dealing with the issue and get on with it. Be proud of who you are. All the best.

Q: How would a gay guy (me) fit into an all boys high school?
Well, one of my choices for High School is an all boys one. Is that a good decision? I'm not out yet... I'm just not sure. Would I be better in a Co-Ed environment?

A: This could be tricky. An all boys school *could* be really homophobic for that very reason, because lots of boys think they have to prove how masculine they are. On the other hand, if it is a school heavily into the arts, it would not draw homophobic guys as students. When I was in university I was in an all-guys dorm which was pure bliss -- seriously 25% of the guys on my floor were experimenting with other guys. BUT, the environment was that there were also co-ed dorms, so that meant the guys who were in the all-guys dorm *wanted* to be there. Is there a way you can talk to a present or past student who does not know you, so you can dig up whether it is gay-friendly or homophobic?

Q: Got my period today, going to boys' school on Monday?
I've got my period today and I'm visiting a boys' school on Monday (today is Sunday) for a school event. I'm worried because I'm going to be there from 8:00am till 3:30pm and I have no clue what to do. Do you have a uniform, if not where dark pants just in case and were an overnight pad, i think, then every thing should be. they should a a reastroom for ladies even if it is a boy school but if not, they probaly have a staff washroom you could use beacuse that would be horrible if they you were coming and havent prepared a bathroom Good luck

A: This is true, and we are still trying to figure out why. There are far more male students than female in schools to begin with, and the females are generally doing better. They tend to dominate the honor societies and Dean's lists. I know that in my department, the top 12 students this semester are female - 13 and 14 are male, and then it goes on to a lot more females. I was so disturbed when I realized this that I alerted the Dean about it. And I should point out that I work in a business school, which is traditionally male-dominated. One issue we run into is that when it is suggested that we need to do something to help the men achieve, someone always implies that this is just payback for the centuries of male domination. Then a lot of people laugh, and the whole issue gets pushed aside.
