Q: Any Houston High Schools with Theater Academy?
Any Houston High Schools with Theater Academy?
Can anybody tell me any Houston High Schools that have theater classes/ One-Act and those things involved with plays?? thanks!=) i know one, i think...its called Taylor, can someone tell me about more high schools or tell me is Taylor does have Acting/Theater classes..
>Thanks to all who answer!!!<
A: Most all do. My daughter was in Theatre in high school. She performed in UIL one-act plays (went to state once) as well as performances for the school community. When they were in UIL contests they started out competing with Houston area schools. There was a school called Taylor High in Alief (sub. of houston) who hosted the Regional UIL event one year.
Q: national pilot academy (schools in Florida)?
I thinking about going to one of the NPA schools in FL. If anybody out there has when (or graduated) to one of this schools can you please tell me what it was like and also what was your everyday life down there. And also which of the 3 school down their would be the best on to go to. I know i herd of some of the bad thing about the school, but truthfully what school doesn't has it's up and down.
A:
Information about the Florida school is below./
Q: are there schools like the Coast Guard Academy?
ok so i did some reaserch and found out that the Coast Guard Academy is relitivly hard to get into. i want to know if there are any schools like this that arnt as hard to git into but still ofer what the Coast Guard Academy offers?. (any schools that do the same thing, and after you finish go into the Coast Guard)
A: It has to be the Coast Guard? Or could it be the Merchant Marine instead? Although all the service academies are hard to get into, the Merchant Marine academy may be a bit easier than the Coast Guard academy.
But again, all are hard to get into. If that's not going to work for you, and you're willing to consider the military other than the Coast Guard, you can do ROTC. ROTC is available at a lot of universities around the country, and thus may be an option if you can't get into a service academy. They'll pay your tuition and often books, and then you go into the service as an officer.
Q: Does anyone know if MKC beauty academy of Elite progressive school of cosmetology are good beauty schools?
I'm interested in becoming a professional make-up artist for fashion shoots, runways, and movies but I'm not sure which school is best for that. I researched MKC and they said they teach you everything in 10 weeks, which seems a bit short for becoming a professional make-up artist. But maybe I'm wrong. I'm also wondering if Elite is a good school. If not, which one (in California ) is good???? thank you
A: I'm not sure, but I would instead look into a less expensive (sounds expensive anyway :) school for make-up artistry such as the local county vo-tech school(s). They tend to be a lot more affordable than those private schools.
Perhaps you can see if that school is accredited by the industry, however, if there is a vo-tech program rather closeby, that sounds more practical. Good luck to you!
For more general career info: www.bls.gov/oco and search 'cosmetologist' and there should be 'additional resources' listed as well.

Q: Are there good dance academy/schools in the States where only little dance experience is required?
I just graduated from high school. I'm really looking into getting a dance degree in the States but I have no idea what good academies/schools there are. I have little dance experience but I'm pretty sure I would want to pursue dancing as my career.
Hmm.. then how about the average dance schools? Can you name some dance schools/academies out there?

Hmm.. then how about the average dance schools? Can you name some dance schools/academies out there?
A: no good dance school is going to accept someone with average to no dancing abilities. you need to have the skill and experience first.
Q: Anyone been to Paul Michell Hair Academy? or Marinello Schools of Beauty?
I'm planning on attending, but I want to hear feedback from others who went.
A: No
Q: Between these schools, which has better academics. Brooks, Concord Academy, Thacher school?
I mean which is the nerdiest wiht the smartest kids.
A: All 3 are great schools, and all 3 have smart kids. I suspect there are nerdy kids in all 3, but I don't think any of them is known as a school for nerds. You can ask your question on www.collegeconfidential.com on the Prep School Admissions discussion board. You might get more people there who can do a comparison of the 3 schools.
Q: Which of the following high schools have a music program not tied to their academy programs? ?
Im on the websites searching, because i want to take any medical academies, but i was wondering if i could take a music elective..such as guitar, while working on/in my academy.
John A. Ferguson
Robert Morgan Adult Center
South Dade Senior
MAST
Felix Varela
A: You can't always find what you want on a school webpage, so you might want to try wikipedia for more details. Also, you can always take the music portion separate, such as online with an accredited online school. Just check to see if the credits can transfer. Good luck.
Q: Curious for UK people like me: Are all secondary schools eventually going to be academies?
This seems to be something New Labour are all for (academies) but the Tories seems to be hell bent on it as well. Do you think they will turn all schools into academies? Do you think I might as well find a job in independent schools here in England or maybe in Scotland or Wales?
A: What's the difference?
Q: Schools/College/Academy/University for Game Development?
Any Good/Decent schools in Calgary, Alberta that offers programs in Game development?
Preferably one that is accepted in most employers.
And, is there an actual difference between the prestiege of the schools?
Thanks.
A: http://collegefinder.bebto.com - it has listing of US game programming university courses, how much average grade should you expect and some useful tips to apply.
Q: What are professions for a proffesional guitar player with a finished music academy diploma?
i need to know some profession for a proffesional guitar player, i mean one that has finished music school( academy) and music university, or something like that. thank you
A: Let's see:
Teacher - Schools(public school, college, etc) or Private Lessons
Studio Musician
Entrepreneur - Open your own Music Store
Product Specialist - for a guitar product company - guitars, effects, etc.
Writer - for a guitar magazine
and finally Rock Star (hey that's what we all want to be right?)
What ever you decide make sure you get a quality education and try to throw some business courses in there with your musical studies. In the end you are going to be selling yourself and your playing ability.
Good Luck
