What are some nice schools of fish i can get for my 116gallon tank. currently have 6 white skirt tetras(pink/blue), a pictus catfish, and 2 small plecos. preferablly schools that are attractive and entertaining.
And i already knew they were died, thats why i called them white skirts tetras instead of blueberry and strawberry. if it were illegal they wouldnt sell them. i didnt realize they were died until after i got them.
A: danios
and
rainbowfish
BUT NO MORE DYED FISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Q: why do schools in different states start earlier than others?
why is it that schools in warmer states such as arizona/california/florida start school [high school] in early august and schools in cooler states such as new york start in early september?
whats the reason?
i was just wondering...
A: Schools in the warmer states are typically air conditioned and so despite the warm temperatures the students are comfortable. Schools in cooler states aren't always air conditioned and so they start later so that the students don't have to sit in school through the hottest part of the summer.
Q: What schools should I apply to for graduate neuroscience?
Non-US medical doctor here. I want to apply to grad school to major in Neurosciece in the US. I got a 790 (math) and 560 (verbal) on the GRE. I have good research experience with one first author publication in a US journal. Excellent recommendation letters. Humble GPA (3.0).
What sort of schools do I have a good chance of being accepted at?

Q: Can anyone suggest some good schools for environmental studies?
I am planning on returning to school in the next few years to study either environmental engineering or environmental law (not sure which just yet). Can anybody suggest some good schools for either of these fields?
I already have a few schools in mind, but I am fishing for suggestions I may not have considered. I live in Virginia, USA but am willing to move anywhere if need be.
Right now (for law) I am looking into William & Mary, Lewis and Clark College, Appalachian School of Law, University of Oregon, and University of Colorado. Any other thoughts from those who know?
A: james madison has an excellent geology and environmental science program, the best in va and one of the best undergrad programs in the country
Q: Are there any decent flight schools in New York?
I am not sure if I am going to be accepted to the aviation program at Farmingdale's College Flight School. I have been searching for other schools at airports that do not offer a degree for so long, but they all look the same to me. I live on Long Island and will travel either to MacArthur Airport or Republic airport in Farmingdale for training. If anyone can help me out or find me a school that fits, that would be great. I am looking for a school that has PPL-CPL-ME-Instrument, all that.. Thank you.
A: Check these out

Q: What are some good driving schools in or around Parsippany, New Jersey?
I am 17 years old, and I received my permit in the end of June. I have been looking into driving schools to help me gain more confidence behind the wheel, and possibly lower insurance ratings.
I am interested in driving schools with competitive prices that serve in Morris County, New Jersey. Websites and prices are appreciated in answers, as well as driving schools that are probably best to stay away from.
Also, how many hours of driving school, minimum, will I need to get an insurance discount?
Thank you for your help.
A: I went to Taggart (don't know if I spelled this correctly) but that was over 20 yrs ago. If they are still around, they are good & the price used to be reasonable. I grew up in Essex County. The behind the wheel requirement is 6 hrs for insurance.
Q: What are school good schools for students with learning disabilities?

A: any school will give you accomodations
Q: How competitive are medical schools in Australia compared to the US?
I'm an undergraduate student in the US planning on attending a medical school here or possibly in Australia.. does anyone know how the two compare? I will have a degree by the time I am ready to apply to med school so I am interested in the graduate programs there.. does anyone know if med schools in Australia require pre-med courses like the US and if so what are they? Any info you can give me will help, thanks!
A: G'day,
Unfortunately you did not mention the area of study that you intend to do for your graduate course. To find out the course that you are taking and where it is offered, I suggest you to go to IDP Education Australia website (www.idp.edu.au). IDP is an organisation that gives information to international students who wants to continue their study in Australia. The information abt tuition fee and requirement will be available from the universities' website. Once decided on the uni, fill in the application form and send it together with certified copy of your academic qualification. The process will take abt 2-3weeks, depending on the time of the year.
Hope this helps. Good luck for your study and welcome to Australia :)
Q: How do you apply to dental schools?
I am an upcoming sophomore, but I would like to know how to apply to dental schools beforehand. I heard that in order to apply to dental schools, we have to take the DAT (Dental Admissions Test). I would like to know more about applying to dental schools. This can also help other people who are planning to go to dental schools in the near future. Thank you.
A: yes you're right you have to take the DATs. as you probably already know it consists of math, biology, chemistry, physics, and the PAT (the perceptual ability test). depending on what dental school, you'll want to shoot at least 17 or above. a good score would be above 20.
get good grades in college. more and more people are applying to dental school, so it's getting more competitive. you'll want at least 3.3 in college. 3.5-3.7 will get you into most schools.
outside stuff: it's best to have volunteer work (in a dental setting), research, leadership positions etc etc, but w/o good grades and good DATs, it's hard to even get an interview if you have all sorts of extras.
other than that talk to alot of practicing dentists. see if you can shadow one for a month and see if it's something you'd want to do. it's a long road, so make sure it's what you want.
a real good website for dentists, physicians, DOs, optometrists, etc is the student doctors network:
www.studentdoctors.net
go to the forums for pre-dent and you'll be able to talk to other people like you. i still go to this site once in awhile. plus it's absolutely FREE!!! unlike the answer above.
good luck
Q: How to convince mom to let me switch schools?
Hi!
I'm in 9th grade, & I really want to switch schools. I just moved to my school district from another one close to here, & it's not that I don't like my school, because I do, I'm just, tired of it. I'm a gifted student, and my school spent too much money on laptops, so the don't have a gifted program. The new school I'm planning on going to is near my house, and it has an IB program (international baccalaureate ) that I'm planning on applying to. It also has uniform, and it's wayyyy safer (and in a way better neighborhood) than mine. I have already told my mom these things, & she is 80% sold. Any other things I can tell her?
Thanks in advance.
As in, the gifted program.
A: If she is 80% sold, then just ask her when you can switch.
It's great to hear a teenager actually wanting to be smart and doing something good for them. =)
Q: How do I find good anthropology schools?
I plan on majoring in anthropology in college but I am having trouble finding good anthro schools. I can find lists of schools offering anthropology, but no rankings, so I'm not sure which schools have the best programs.
Can anyone tell me any good schools for majoring in anthro? Or any resources to help me find this information?
A: First you need to think about what sort of anthropology interests you - cultural, biological, linguistics, or archaeology.
Then start looking at schools that are strong in that area.
As you will be an undergraduate, you might want to consider a prorgram that does not have graduate students - there's a good chance that you'll get more attention and be more likely to be taught by full professors. Graduate students can be useful, however, as they often have interests beyond those of professors, may know more about the latest developments, and if you decide to go on to graduate school yourself, might be able to offer you advice.
Look into a few schools that appeal to you, get in touch with the department and ask questions, even if you can't visit in person. Ask what sort of funding is available for undergrads, if there are internship or other job opportunities in the department, what sort of field work opportunities are available, etc. See if they have a list of regularly offered courses.
If you can, go to a library and look for publications - either monographs or journals - by the professors in the department to get an idea about what they do, how they think, etc.
To be completely frank, while you need a good grounding in the basics in anthropology, most places with a devoted program will be able to offer you that. If you want a career in anthropology you are probably going to need to go on to graduate school, and that's when you're really doing to need to worry about rankings, etc.
