Q: Anyone have good online resources for technology education?
I am looking for web sites with technology education lesson plans (e.g. manufacturing processes, etc.) but all I am finding is computer-based lesson plans. Or atleast some good handouts. Any ideas?

Q: What is your view on the importance of technology in education? Can technology motivate and assist students..?
What is your view on the importance of technology in education? Can technology motivate and assist students in both America and third world countries?
A: I strongly think it can and will. My school issues each student an Apple iBook, and it helps so much with being able to have the world at your finger tips in terms of resources. Essays and other reports are done easier, and stronger because of the tools I am able o use. I will say that internet games are a down side because of the kids playing them instead of doing their class work. I believe these computers in my school are a large help in the way I gain my education, and build myself up for the next levels of the education system.
Q: Whats the Importance of Information Technology in education?
What's the importance of Information Technology to education? How it will affect the students and the teachers?
A: The importance of Information Technology, in my opinion, is that it allows the students to obtain many sources of information instead of just one. It allows students to communicate with others that could offer them assistance on an assignment where as without this technology they may not have anyone that they could ask for help. A few ways that Information Technology may affect the teachers and students include, but are not limited to: allowing the teachers to better explain how and why something works the way that it does by allowing the students to view a wide range of informative websites. It allows students to learn more about other countries and other cultures by being able to communicate with people from those countries and cultures. It also allows the students and teachers to be able to communicate with one another at any point in time and from any location that has this technology available where as they would only have normal school hours and only be available at the school itself to be able to explain a particular topic to the student.
These are simply my opinions, but I hope that they will come in a bit useful to you!!
Q: what are the multilevel problems in technology education?
i'm doing a paper on technology, but everytime i type it in google, i keep finding multilevel marketing
A: Education, Availability, Employlent are some.
Q: What are the ethical issues presented by technology in education?
A: - plagiarism
- indiscriminate use of technology to the detriment of other skills
- anonymity & falsehoods
- getting homework done by others as in Y!A & many other such sites instead of thinking for oneself - [i can see the spate of Qs you've put up too ;-) ]
- laziness on the part of both students & teachers - everything readymade, tailored, no originality or creativity
- not citing sources, giving due credit
hope these help
Q: What is an education or technology consultant?
And how can i become one? I'll have my t4eaching degree in december and want to do something with trechnology, computers, and teachers. Basically, i want to train teachers and help them get computer systems up and running intheir classroom.
I know that many existing teachers don't understand or don't have the time to learn, and I want to be the one to teach them (make sense?)
So how do i become a consultant? Are there provate firms?
A: In the district I work in we have our cyber squad, these are teachers that have expressed an interest in technology and are willing to help other teachers. These teachers are volunteers but they do get an additional stipend and are expected to work more then regular hours. Besides providing some instruction they do the first level of hands on support and install new district approved software on classroom computers. If there is a separate paid position for this type of activity it would probably only be in the private sector. Hope this answers your question and congrats on completing the degree.

Q: What are the impacts of Technology on Education in Secondary Schools Today?
A: I think it has opened so many doors to increasing knowledge for all students. In our Districts they are teaching students math on the computers. Remember students have to know how to program them to get the correct answers. So the computer is not really doing their work. It does help teachers to be able to access them better. Plus students can work at their own pacing plan which allows them to go as fast or as slow as they can. Additionally we live in the age of electronics. Our children can have global communication as opposed to when we were in school. I'd like to see more computers in the classrooms because right now the kids have to share,,,,
