Q: Which state has better education, Michigan or CAlifornia ?
Which state has better high school system as well as collge and university opportunity ?

A: california does have bad public high schools. i think we have the worst in the nation. but higher education is pretty top notch. we have Stanford, USC(which is seen as really prestigious for some reason), UCLA, UCSB, and UCB to name a few. what famous colleges are in Michigan? Not to insult the state or anything.

Q: How is Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. Good education? Parties? Clubs and Programs? Campus?
Any detail is appreciated.

A: its is a good school, never really hear of parties, clubs are in pontiac or detroit; they have a lot of programs for students to participate in. They do give a good education. The campus is small but the parking kind of sucks (that is if you want a close spot and you are not willing to walk). The teachers are really nice and they are easier to work with from what I have heard in comparison to Wayne State University, but it is a really good school, especially if you want to commute. Also the food in the Oakland Center (the student center) is good and not crappy. Everyone there is really nice. I love it there!

Q: I am going to be expelled from my Michigan middle school, where can I get an education?

A: You shoul have thought about that before you got expelled!!!! Contact your local board of education. Perhaps you can be assigned to another school!

Q: did tom brady finish his education while at the university of michigan?
i jus saw something on tv and was curious

A: I think it is important that he did. It shows that he was smart enough not to think he would automatically be great in the NFL and a college education is something that is worth earning. Good role model in that respect.

Q: Michigan Government Department of Education?
Is there any provision in the law that would allow a school with high at-risk students and declining enrollment to ask for a temporary increase in the foundation grant? Any other ideas on how to obtain additional funding for a struggling school?

A: You might go to mich.gov there might be an answer there, you could also e-mail your senator or representive from that sight and ask. Other then that I am not sure unless you get in touch with the Department of Education itself and ask. That can also be found on that web sight.

Q: Is Michigan a good state to live, work and study for low-budget family ?
I live in California now but my family can't afford the high price of renting house. I have a plan to go to Michigan because the price is much cheaper there. However, I don't know if it's a good choice. My top prior is education.

A: Sorry, Your top priority is education. Yours? Your Kids? If your kids, you can use this website http://schoolmatters.com to compare schools or districts. If you are looking for employment, this website might help. http://www.michiganworks.org/ Either choose a County or the Michigan Talent Bank site allows you to search for jobs. Good luck with your choice. I wouldn't listen to the nay sayers. There will be good and bad areas in every city and every State. Take some time to investigate your options. Then search for information about that specific area down to subdivision level if needed. Rentals in most of southeastern Michigan are available on this public website operated by a Multiple Listing Service. Simply enter 1 or 2 (thousand) for the maximum value. http://moveinmichigan.com
