Q: Can you tell me why higher education is not necessary to be successful in life?
Many people go to universities and college, yet there are some who did not but have achieve great things. Can you tell me why higher education is not the most important aspect to be successful in life?

A: I think the most important aspects to being successful in life are personal ambition and perseverance. But people who have a lot of drive, determination and perseverance generally DO go on to college. They recognize that it encourages you to set your sights higher, puts you in contact with other people who are likely to be successful, provides you with an education that will help you in your career, and gives you that college degree that other successful people recognize as a mark of accomplishment.

Q: How can anyone go abroad for higher education when he is not much rich and even has no good educational Grades?
How can anyone go abroad for higher education when he is not much rich and even has no good educational Grades but he wants to study further after graduation to some abroad country........

A: should've thought of that when you got bad grades. Everyone wants to know like how to get into harvard or princeton with like a 2.2 or something. You can't. That's it. If you like classical music, take up an instrument. If you haven't already done so, there's probably no use trying.

Q: What is the Higher Education establishment in Watford called?
I was born in Watford, but subsequently left and only go back about once a year to visit relatives. However, I'm back here now and on Monday night noticed that the town was thronging with students (not A-level students - they were older than that). There never used to be any students in Watford. So I guess a Higher Education establishment has been set up in town. Is it a satellite campus of University of Hertfordshire? Any idea? Thanks in advance.

Q: Is it true that higher education in Germany is free for foreign students?
I am staying in Malaysia. I heard that higher education in Germany is free. I only need to spend for my accommodation. But to study there I need to pass A1 (this is a known fact). Please state your comments as well for your answer. Really appreciate the help.

A: It depends. Some states in germany do charge a study fee (usually around 500 Euro per semester) some don't. In some states, no fee has to be paid for getting the first academic degree, but if you want to get another, you'd have to pay. Other states charge student who take too long to finish. As far as I know, there are no differences being made between german and foreign students. However, you would need a student visa and pass a language test, plus your school credits need to be recognized as comparable to german standards.

Q: Do you think having a higher education makes you more successful in life?
Have you, or have you not experience higher education? Do you think having gone through the process makes you successful than those who did not? Life is of so many little aspect. By saying successful in life, what do you mean by it?

A: Well - not to get all philosophical, but success means different things to different people. If you are asking will a higher education provide you with opportunities to make more money the answer is yes. However, I know many people who have very good educations but haven't really done anything with them. I mean they have jobs that are completely unrelated to their academic background - which makes me wonder why they spend so much time and effort studying something they don't use. I don't pry - - but I do wonder. I have a Master's degree and am working toward a PhD - - I raised my family and went back to school. It wasn't easy but I'm happy with how things have turned out for me. Yes, I feel my education makes me successful and I enjoy knowing I have achieved something that is meaningful to me.

Q: As a foreign student, how can I get sponsoring for my higher education?
I'm living in a Latinamerican country, I'm a great student, but there's lack of collegeships in my country. I need financial aid for my higher education here in Latin America. Is it possible for me to get a collegeship or sponsoring from somebody or some company that pay for my education in my country? I just need about $ 3500 each semester. Thanks for your answers.

A: Visit any big company in your country which is interested in giving back to the communities. Have your grades and any possible academic worksheet to show them you are a serious student.Find means to meet the boss of the company, tell him/her your difficulties, goals and aspirations. You should even consider them getting you a job if that is the case. Some students have tried this before and it worked. or you can apply for scholarship from the government. I know that it is difficult to find job when you are a student in lots of country esp. those in the third world. Good luck.

Q: I want to withdraw from my Roth IRA account for higher education expenses.?
The educational expenses have been accrued from over the past 8 years. Can I do this without suffering fom a penalty and tax? If not how much will I lose if I pull $12,000 and the IRS doesn't consider past educational debt as a higher education expense ?

A: The IRS does not consider past educational debt as a qualifying expense to eliminate the 10% penalty on early distributions from a Roth. As mentioned correctly, your original contribution can be withdrawn at any time tax-free. The first money to be distributed is your original contribution. If you take a distribution of earnings and are not age 59.5, you will be subject to income tax on the earnings plus a 10% penalty. To the extent your distribution of earnings is used to pay for higher education expenses incurred and paid for in the year of distribution, you can escape the 10% penalty.
