Q: Who receives a better high school education? People from the NorthEast or people from the South?
My wife and i are arguing on who receives a better education. I am from the North East and she is from the south.

A: I think north east.People from north east are really well mannered and educated it's only a matter of time when people realise it.North east is mostly ignored in terms of education but there are some very good colleges and schools.

Q: Where is a good place to take a high school education class on a field trip?
The class is for kids who want to be elementary teachers or pediatricians or other jobs involving kids when they grow up. We already go to the elementary school on a regular basis and we are looking for a place to go on a field trip.

A: DisneyWorld during winter break vacations! You will be able to observe every possible scenario of children (and parents) in this mecca for "fun." The interaction of children and parents is also quite revealing. How do I know? I'm a teacher who lives ten minutes from Disney and go there often (and on field trips as well). I find the demographics of visitors and children in particular, to this park to be extremely interesting and diverse. Of course I am assuming that you have one big budget for field trips...lucky you. Being more practical - you could visit science museums or art museums and schedule your trip to coincide with those of the elem. schools. Observe how docents handle kids in this situation. Another suggestion - Saturday programs for kids such as soccer, art classes, dance classes. Perhaps you could "buddy" up your students with an elem. student for a day and have them record what kind of a day they had with their little friend - a good opportunity for developmental observations. Maybe arrange a "field day" with an elementary class with your students being the ones organizing the whole thing - another developmental observation. Have a good time and good luck!

Q: could anyone provide me with detailed description of high school education in the UK please?
Such as the requirements of high school diploma, programs offered; are there AP programs there, or only IB and A level? Thank you AP program is advanced placement program, a series of vigorous courses. It is very popular in the U.S. and can be considered as equivalence of the IB program.

A: High school in the UK is called college. We have qualifications called : NVQ - National vocational diploma (work based learning, with a recognised qualification at the end of it) A Level - a 2 year long course that is marked as total 70% for your coursework and 30% for a final exam. (coursework being papers and essays written over the course) A/S level - half of a A level essentially, if you only do a year and pass up to certain standard (A-E, F being fail) BTEC - qualifications are undertaken in vocational subjects ranging from Business to Animal Care. They have an equivalence to other qualifications such as the A Level but a particular difference is that they tend to be based on practical work or coursework rather than timed examinations. any qualifications past that are from university. I would be happy advise you on such qualifications

Q: What should you include in your resume about your high school education?
For example, should I mention organizations and awards that are related to the career field or should I just mention the name and GPA?

A: If you are just out of high school and do not anything else to show, then mention your achievements there. But if you are 40 years old, had several jobs, then nobody cares about what you did in high school.

Q: Would you put your high school education background if you are applying for a grad school after undergrad?

considering letting my teenager use an alternate way of getting through high school. A lot of reasoning behind my thoughts but I'm not sure where to begin.

Q: Do I need a High School education to become a storm chaser?
Don't some storm chasers just film the video. That's what I want to do this year in Florida when a hurricane comes. It's fun. In college, could I just study about the storms and nothing else. I'm not interested in any of those other subjects.

A: High school? Try college, including advanced degrees. Only if you'd like to stay alive in the process, that is... The answerer above me is exactly right - meteorology is an incredibly complex science, filled with various branches of science and a lot of math. You have to understand how various forces work in the atmosphere, oceanography, physics, even chemistry. Even if you're "just filming" the storms, you have to understand what you're filming. Extreme weather patterns can change at a moment's notice, and if you don't understand what you're looking for, you could easily have a one-shot career. Storm chasers get up close and personal with very erratic weather patterns, and they study for years to be aware of what they're facing.
