A: Anything in excess can be bad for education--even studying. Various studies have shown beneficial effects of occasional video games to coordination. Other studies have shown that while studying for a test it is good to take a break every 20 minutes or so to allow the brain to freely process the new information. Sure, if you allow yourself to watch television and play computer games for hours every day, it is not good for your creative thinking and real-life problem solving skills. Children especially need the diversity of several different types of learning and interacting.

Q: Could I use my education money to buy an expensive computer then sell it?
Im allowed to spend the education $$$$ on a computer, so my question is, could i buy an expensive computer, dont open it, and sell it and use it to buy a nice car!!!!!

A: you could...or you could just use your financial aid to buy a car. My financial aid was loaded onto card w/ a mastercard logo on it so I use it to buy EVERYTHING I need

Q: Where is the best place to go to college for an education in Computer Science?
Im already two years ahead of my class in computer science, having read several books on it over a single summer, I prepare to take the AP Computer Science exam (highest computer science course in my high school) as we speak. It really stinks that I wont be able to take any more classes on computer science until college, because I jumped right to the final and most difficult computer science course as a sophmore, and so I wish to plan for College. If you would be as kind as to not only tell me the college, but the reason why that college is good, I would be very greatful.

A: Yes, according to rankings, and if you can get in - it is highly competitive. Also great schools are CIT, RIT, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech. (In that order, in my opinion.)

A: One of the best areas to explore is instructional design/instructional technology/educational technology. Different schools will list their degrees under any of these names. You get to learn about theories of teaching and learning as well as foundations of computer education.

I want to go into a field dealing with technology. i'm not computer illiterate and have even built two of my own. Up until now, it's been more of a hobby; but I've always tinkered with the idea of going in that direction career-wise and lately have been considering it more and more. I'm not really sure where to start, tho. what classes or programs, certifications, etc? I already have the passion but I'm lacking the direction... how do i get started?

A: It depends on which IT field do you want to go to. Since IT has many fields such as software development, hardware, network and others the first thing to do is to decide which one attracts you. Then you can look for some related courses or education. This does not mean that you need to follow to one area but it is important to list the areas of your interest and move to that areas so you do not waste your time and money which courses that won't help you in the future.
