Q: What Are Some Of The Best Colleges and Universities In Ontario?
Can Someone Please Name A List Of The 5 Best Colleges And 5 Best Universities In Ontario

A: I don't know what the 5 best colleges are. Most of the colleges are specialized. St. Clair of Windsor is more focused on skilled trades while St. Clair of Chatham is more focused on social services. Universities are York Laurier U of Toronto U of Ottawa Western And it depends on what you want to take to determine the best. For example, U of Windsor is super craptastic. But they have a very good law program (at one point it was the best).

Q: Teachers colleges in ontario?
I am thinking of going to teachers college once I get my bachelors...but I am unsure where I would have to go. What cities in Ontario have teacher's colleges? I hope I won't have to go too far. Hamilton has a religious one...I would prefer a secular one. I would also much prefer to go to one with a ONE year program rather than 2 years, as I have gone back to school quite late (I am in my 30s already). I think there's on at York. Does anybody know?

A: York, Toronto, Trent, Queen's, Windsor, Brock

Q: How much do ontario college graduates earn?
i'm doing a computer science advanced diploma in an ontario college and heard that a graduate can get a starting salary of around $35,000-45,000 on average. my question is whether or not that salary would ever increase as i gain more experience at that job. earning around 40k is acceptable for a young person aged 21, but as we get older, we start needing more money, and 40k just won't be enough.

A: No idea....that's why I went to University. mo mmmoooneyyyy

Q: question about Ontario colleges?
Does anyone in Ontario know when the last day to apply for college is? My stupid ass counselor said she didn't know, so it's an easy 10 points thanks

A: http://www.ontariocolleges.ca/portal/page/portal/ONTCOL/Apply/ApplicantInformation/ApplyWhen Feb. 2 to be considered for September. To be safe, I would check the dates with the specific colleges you're applying to just to be sure, you don't want to miss anything important.

Q: Any business colleges Located in Ontario,Canada?
I'm currently taking 4 business courses in high school and i want to know any colleges or universities in the area of Ontario that support business

A: I'm unsure if you want to go to a trade school for business, or a real university for a bachelor's degree in business. Either way, I'm sure that you can find something in Ontario. If you are interested in a BS in Business, then The University of Toronto is the best school in Ontario for it. The University of Western Ontario is the best business school in Canada -- but think they only offer MBA and PhD degrees.

Q: ontario, canada colleges, do they offer an untra sound technician course?
i would like to take the course, but need some help finding schools in ontario, canada, i believe it is a college course, not university, but if you know differently could you let me know.....i have been out of a school for quite a while now...married mom.....please, could someone give me some help with this...or any type of x-ray tech course, lab tech too...ultra sound would be my first choice, but i am open to the others too....thank you, thank you, thank you very much for your time and help!!!

A: I don't believe so... you might have to look at programs that are close too it for example, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medial Radiation Technology, and Practical Nursing (Pre-Health)... you Medical Tech and Practical Nursing are going to be very highly competitive in any College in Ontario. There is a new programs being developed in Centennial College (Toronto) that you should research: Health Informatic Technology/Occupation Therapist Assistant: Physiotherapist Assistant... You should go to a nearby High School, where ever you are and pick up an "Ontario College Guide 2007-2008". DO IT NOW and apply by this weekend... I think application were due FEB 1 (last Monday)...so your highly competitive courses might be almost filled up by now...not to burst your bubble but if you got straight A's then you shouldn't have a problem!!! Hope this helped

Q: Anyone know any good colleges in ontario?

A: The closest college to Barrie is Georgian College, with its main campus in Barrie. Georgian also has campuses in Orillia and Owen Sound. Seneca College has several campuses including King City, Newmarket, and North York. Sheridan College has a great reputation for graphic design. It has campuses in Brampton, Mississauga, and Oakville. Humber College and Centennial Colleges are both located in different areas of Toronto. Q: Are there any Ontario college courses that can lead into a Bachelors of Education?
I want to be a teacher SO badly, but I don't quite have the grades to get into university - or, if I do, it'll be very close. If I go to college first, I was hoping I could go to university in 2nd or 3rd year and still make my dream a reality. Plus, I think I'd feel more comfortable at a college than a university - at least to start.

A: go to college for early childhood education, get good grades and use that 2 year program as a stepping stone into university. A lot of people are doing this, including myself!! Actually I may not go to university, I can work in a school with children up to 12 with just my ECE but university looks better.

Q: Does the Ontario College of Physicians approve or disapprove of massage therapy?
I'm doing an assignment on massage therapy and can't find the answers to this question, it's been almost an hour now and I'm stumped so if you could please help me I would appreciate it a lot, thank you.

A: Since the Regulated Health Profession Act was approved in 1994, the OCP kind of has to approve of massage therapy since it's regulated. They definitely don't disapprove of it since many insurance companies require physicians referrals in order to cover massage therapy treatments. Physicians in Ontario also don't seem to have a problem issuing referrals for massage therapy as they see it as an important part of healing. It also often goes hand in hand with physiotherapy after a severe injury. You could try contacting the CMTO which is the regulating body of massage therapists in Ontario, and ask them if they could provide you with more information about agreements or governing acts that show the OCP's approval of massage therapy in Ontario. Good luck!

Q: Does the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) have courses other than Art. For example, Enlgish?
I'm going for my interview for OCAD in a few days, and I know they are a Art College/University. I want to become an Art Teacher for High school, but to teach in Ontario you need 2 teachable subjects to teach in highschool. I wanted to teach Art and English. If I went to OCAD would I be able to take english courses as well at OCAD? Thank you

A: yes. they have a Liberal Studies department where there are courses like English which are not only available but I think some courses are mandatory. Hope that helps! Here's a link to the Liberal Studies webiste at OCAD: http://www.ocad.ca/programs/liberal_studies.htm
