A: Not I.
Information about the college is below./
Q: I need help with my College academics?
Here’s my background story . . .
I attended California State University for my first year of college in 2005. My first semester landed me on Academic Probation. My second semester, I didn’t do well enough so I was Academically Disqualified.
I’m now attending a California Community College to get my General Education credits before returning to the University. I started taking classes in the Fall of 2006, but I decided to drop and withdraw. I returned this Spring of 2006 to gain back my wasted semesters. I’ve been doing great getting an average of B’s in my classes. But I’ve missed 4 classes in a row the week before Spring Break and currently Tuesday. I’m now terrified to go back to class & I missed tests, quizzes, and essays.
I don’t know what to do right now. I feel so ashamed for missing those vital days of class, the assignments, quizzes & tests. And now I’m thinking about going to one of those Technical schools like ITT Tech or Maric College. I need help, I have no idea what to do :[
A: Go back, work your ass off and get your work done! DONT feel bad! Seriously, dont. You dont sound like a bad student at all. Bad students dont feel guilty about not completing assignments. You obviously care and feel bad about missing class. It seems like something is blocking you from being the student you want to be. Figure out what is blocking you from doing your best.
Are you not focused?
Try to get focused by trying to choose a major, take classes you love and ALWAYS remember your GOALS.
Are you depressed?
Talk to a college counselor or friends about your stress it should def. help.
Do you not have a good social life?
That can be really distracting. Spending too much or too little time w/ friends can be damaging. Get your social life in order.
Last but not least, Are you taking classes you enjoy?
I know, I know. You want to get through college as quickly as possible and you dont have time for "bullshit classes" but you know what throwing into the mix a few classes you actually enjoy may help you get through the day. Sometimes the only reason why I even show up to class some days is b/c I love my spanish class so much!
Figure out what is keeping you from reaching your goals, and you will go far. Nothing is wrong w/ you. You can make it through college dont give up! We all have hurdles we need to jump. Pretty soon you'll actually maybe idk enjoy college?
Best of luck! <3
Q: What is the role of a Defense Investigator and what education and experience is required?
I am currently a Criminal Justice student going to a private school. We are currently going through the process of a mock trial. We're just in the beginning stages right now with the investigations and etc. My role in the mock trial is the Defense Investigator so I have to prepare a memorandum addressed to my instructor describing and discussing my assigned role in the Maric College Murder Case. Include any requirements of the position. For instance, what education and experience is required to hold the position you have been assigned?
A: Actually no education or experience is required if you can get a law firm to hire you, most private investigators today have at least a Bachelors degree, and are licensed through the state where the conduct their business, most states require a performance bond and you will need to be more specific but in a murder case an investigator would begin by reviewing all police reports, crime scene pictures, coroners reports, and if still available question all the witnesses, possibly search for more than the police interviewed. A defense investigator would be looking for exculpatory evidence, any that might prove the accused innocent of the charges.
Q: Trying to enroll in Radiologic Technology Program to become a X-ray technician. Where do I start?
I've looked into Maric College and Chaffey. I know Loma Linda also has a program but my prbolem is that I only have around 30 college units. None geared towards Radiologic Technology. I'm looking for a career change and this seems to be a passion for me. I need guidance to try and get this stuff done quickly and not over a 2 year span. Any help would be nice
A: Places like University of Phoenix, Maric College (North Hollywood campus), some community colleges, Western Career College will have certification courses for X-Ray Tech. It's a good field. Training would take about 6 months on average, depending on how you schedule classes. Many schools that offer medical assisting will also have x-ray classes. It's also a field where you can get a certificate, then get a job, and work towards higher degrees.
Congratulations on your decision to start a good career in health care. Best of luck to you.
Q: Dental School/College Institute?
Have any of you been to a school like Maric College or Concorde Career colleges? and studies in the Dental field? if so how much did you pay for the 8 or so months of training? i tried there websites but it says you must discuss with them in person and im afarid i dont have time for that right now...... Thanks
A: THEY CHARGE PER SUBJECT, SO ITS BEST TO PHONE THEM BUT BEFORE THAT GET A BROCHURE AND LOOK AT SUBJECTS THAT YOU CAN DO.
Q: How can I get an LVN license quickly ( in about a year ) without paying too much ?
I want to go to school to become a LVN but private schools like Maric College charge ridiculous prices like 25K and public Colleges like Mira Costa College has a 3 year waitting list.
Do I have any other choices ?
A: The best thing I can suggest is that you go see an adult careers adviser at your local Careers (Connexions) office, they will be able to tell/find out for you and any other breaks you may be entitled to.
Q: What Is The Difference Between A X-Ray Technologist And A X-Ray Technician?
Is There Any At All?
I'm going to Be Taking The X-RayTec. Program At Maric College In North Hollywood, CA So I Was Wondering If I'm Training For The Job I Want..
A: The correct term is Radiologic Technologist. Originally, the profession referred to its practitioners as X-Ray Technicians, but about 1960 the American Registry of Radiolologic Technologists which tests and certifies prospective students in the various disciplines which it oversees, including general Radiography, Isotope Technology, Special Procedures, Radiation Therapy, and other disciplines which are included in Medical Imagery introduced the new terminology. If you are accepted into an accredited program of Radiologic Technology, you are undoubtedly entering a legitimate course of study.
Q: Would a State University accept my transcripts?
Hello I just graduated from Maric College with an Associates degree in Criminal Justice. Some people have told me that a State University won't accept my transcripts because Maric College is a private institution is this true?
A: you just have to make sure the units you took were transferrable. talk with a counselor at the school you want to apply to.
Q: limited x-ray tech can work in central america?
is it possible for a person who received a diploma in limited licensed x-ray tech at maric college of North Hollywood, CA to be able to work at any clinic/hospital in central america? like in costa rica or nicaragua? would it be difficult to find or get the job?
A: X-Ray Techs do not get paid good money in Costa Rica. Youll just be waisting your time. English teachers do get paid good depending what school you work for and they have a lot of work all over Latin America in that field. EsL teachers too.
Q: will australian player b dominating in the nba in a few years time?
with the likes of patrick mills joe ingles and nathan jawai tipped 4 the next couple drafts and with other college players like maric. not 2 mention andrew bogut and brad newley alredy in the nba i cant help but think this is the start of something big 4 australian basketball.
A: Dominating over international NBA players you mean?
well, Australia has established a youth program back in the 1990's that is paying off.so, i won't be surprise.until then we'll have to wait and see.don't count out the Argentinians; they have some good players coming in also.(ex: Ginobili)
Q: I am thinking of going to an LVN school around glendale ca, anyone been through one?
I have spoken with Glendale Career College, and Kaplan (formerly Maric). Are they good, and is 26-28 thousand bucks worth it? I really want to become an RN in the long term but, I need support my family too.
A: Christina, that is a lot of money for LVN schooling, but, for an education it is priceless. I was an LPN before becoming an RN and I paid about that much or a little more for both.
I do not live in your area but wanted to say, all the best.
Q: Which College is better?
For medical Asst. which college will be more recognized in the job field? Maric, Concorde, Remington?
A: Hey! They all are really great ones. They all specilised in that area. But comparing them in other things, such as student's accomodation or scholarship or in some areas, I think Maric is a little better than the other two.So I would really like to advise Maric..Whatever u choose, good luck!
Q: why aleks maric not picked in any second round draft picks?
why is he not picked in any of the second round mock drafts he was a 20/10 player in college . im not saying he will be a starter but he will be a great bench player.
check draftexpress numbers for all centers in the draft he is the top guy in about half of all stats and top 5 for the rest off them
http://www.draftexpress.com/article/Just-By-The-Numbers--Evaluating-This-Year-s-Center-Crop-2941/
A: Ya that's to bad
Q: why is aleks maric of Nebraska not in any of the 2008 mock drafts?
aleks maric 6-11 270 pounds and is averaging this year 16.2 points , 9.7 rebounds , 1.6 assiats and 1.8 blocks and he not in any of the 2008 mock drafts from the big websites . he is playing for nebraska in the big12 and all oppostions team scouting reports all say they have to shut him down for them to win which means they double and triple team him when he gets the ball but he is still getting good numbers agaisnt good teams . im not saying he is a first rounder because i know he doesnt have good speed , but surely he would be a good 2nd round pick . andrew bogut recently said that of all the aussie's in the us college he is the most nba ready
A: Alex Maric is probably the most over looked player. You don't hear anything about him. It might be the fact that he plays for Nebraska and people think that everyone on Nebraska sucks. He is very talented and would make a great player in the NBA. I'm with you, idk why he isn't on any of those, I think he'd be ripped off if he isn't drafted.
