Q: Does anyone know any san francisco junior colleges or programs that does video game and design?
Hi Im trying to become a video game designer and im looking for any junior colleges or any program (within San Francisco) that teaches video game and design. Could anyone help me?

A: MANY colleges (junior colleges included) offer such a degree as to what you are looking for. However, you are probably searching for the subject under the wrong name. Look for colleges offering majors in graphic design, graphic arts, digital media, animation, digital animation, or video game design. These are all very similar, if not identical, areas of study. You'll probably wan an associates of applied fine arts degree or an associates of fine arts degree, so try looking up local community colleges more majors in which I just listed for you. I have no doubt you'll now find what you are looking for. Good luck.

Q: Is there a limit of ccas in junior colleges in singapore?
What is the maximum amount of ccas one can join in a jc in singapore? Also which jcs have girls soccer or touch rugby (girls)? ccas are co curricular activities. there are many groups...for example...sports (basketball, tennis), aesthetics(dance, choir) and clubs (media). I would like to know whether it is possible to join 2 sports ccas? Also which jcs have girls soccer and touch rugby?

A: Well I think it depends on the different Junior Colleges. However, due to the hectic curriculum in JC, most JCs limit their students to 2 or fewer CCAs. Touch Rugby (Girls) -> NJC, TJC, SAJC, NYJC, etc Soccer (Girls) -> SAJC, NYJC, etc Apart from that, I think other top JCs like HCI and RJC should have the two sports for girls. Hope these help :)

Q: Does anyone know of any classes offered at junior colleges that hve little to no materials needed to be bought
Such as Santa Monica College, or Orange County Coast. What classes don't require many books, or supplies to be bought? Running low on $ for school, and just curious, thanks tremendously if you know of any. Little to no materials along the lines of books, or anything else really. One class previously required around 5 books just for that class alone. It was brutally expensive.

A: I was surprised to discover some colleges will rent you the books for a flat rate. That is what my school does, so I'd ask around. Other than that, I'm not sure..

Q: Are there junior colleges in Canada?
I didn't receive the best grades in high school and i was wondering if there were colleges in canada that are like junior colleges in the united states?

A: Hi Sean! Yes, but it will help you to read a little more about the differences between the U.S. and Canadian higher educational systems so that you can appropriately map out your educational career. You should also check any of the Canadian colleges you're interested in to ensure that they are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The website below will help. The "About Canada" page has more information about the Canadian educational system. The "Finding Your School" page has a link to the U.S. Department of Education's federal school codes. If the Canadian school is recognized, you'll be able to apply for the U.S. Federal Stafford Loan and your parents will be eligible to apply for the U.S. Parents PLUS loan. Recognized schools will also make it easier to transfer credits for a Bachelors degree at a Canadian university or U.S. college or university. (NOTE: The terms "university" and "college" are not interchangeable in Canada like they are in the United States). The "Finding Your School" page also offers links to search engines to help you explore Canadian schools by major, region or degree. Finally, PLEASE don't give up on the idea of attending a Canadian university to obtain your B.S. or B.A. degree even if your grades weren't that terrific. Most universities on both sides of the border hold slots for "international" students which may lead to a happy surprise. Good luck and enjoy the journey!

Q: Do colleges really look at the your junior grades the most?
So far I have a 4.0 GPA and taking the most rigorous classes offered at my school, but I'm afraid I'm going to finish my first semester of my junior year with two B's. (There are seven classes in all). I'm just wondering if those two B's will matter a lot, especially in the admission factors of competitive colleges. Thanks!

A: the college admissions process is done holistically, junior year grades are just as important as your sophomore grades. some people claim 'senior year doesn't matter' because if you apply early to a school, they will not see those grades. however, everything, every little detail counts. colleges are getting more selective every year. 2006 was the rough year and admissions statistics looked bad to everyone, it is only getting worse. i think i've heard somewhere that princeton u. doesn't weigh freshman grades as heavy as the other years. but yes, junior year is important because it is probably the most recent account of your academic performance in terms of GPA and coursework, but everything else shouldn't be dismissed as unequally important. during your senior year, you'll still have to submit a 'midyear' or 'midsemester' grade evaluations sheet signed by your teachers. so yeah...everything is pretty much important. good luck.
