A: Each state uses the popular vote on Election Day to appoint electors, so you are a little early in finding out who these individuals will be. Candidates for elector are nominated by their state political parties in the months prior to Election Day, so you maybe able to find out who these individuals are from the party headquarters. Indiana has only 11 electroal votes, so it is a secondary player in the election.

Q: I'm going to an Indiana college, and want to become a vet. HELP!?
Hello everyone. I'm a senior in high school. I'm graduating in January. I would like to become a vet, but first off, I'm a little confused on how to make that possible. When I go on to www.collegeboard.com and in the search criteria I put Indiana as my location, and D.V.M. as my major...no preference on everything else...But no schools meet my criteria. So I put pre-veterinary medicine in as my major, and I get 8 results. What do they mean, pre-vet? After I finish pre-vet, I'll go on to D.M.V....but it said there's not any vet schools in Indiana? I thought there was one in West Lafayette, IN. I'm confused because my school really doesn't talk about college much, and my parents don't really know. So hopefully you can help me. Also, I wanted to go to ball state or Indiana university- south bend...Can I take basic classes there, then transfer? Ahh, I'm so confused but I need to understand this since I have to apply in less than 2 monthes. Thanks!
A: Becoming a Vet takes a lot of hard work and is not easy. To become a Vet you first need to finish an undergraduate degree, then apply to Vet school. There isn't a specific undergraduate degree you need, but many vet students have bachelor's degrees in biology or one of it's subfields. Some universities have a pre-professional program for students who want to go to Med/Vet/Dental/etc school. Most undergraduate degrees take four years to finish but many people take five years or more.
There isn't a specific university that you need to attend to get into Vet school. Any accredited school will be fine, although vet schools will probably put more weight on you GPA if you went to a more prestigious school.
Once you finish your undergraduate, you apply to get into vet school. Admission toVet school is extremely competitive. There are only 28 Vet schools in the U.S. and each school only takes a set amount of students. And yes, it is actually easier to get into Med school than Vet school. The joke around Vet schools is "What do you call someone who can't get into/flunked out of Vet School? An M.D." To get into Vet school, you need a high GPA (as close to a 4.0 as possible), you will need to take a standarized test called the GRE and score well on that, and you will usually have to write an essay.
Once you get in, Vet school takes 4 years. Three years of classes and one year on clinical rotations/externships. Once you graduate, you will need to take national and state boards before you are licensed to pratice.
There is no Vet school in Indiana. Here is a list of all 28 Vet schools in the U.S.

Q: Should I go straight to Michigan State OR go to community college than transfer to Indiana Bloomington?
I got accepted into Michigan State. My mom wants me to go either there or Northern Illinois (which is in-state). However, I have a gut feeling that I won't like or fit in with Michigan State. However, I Really want to go to Indiana University- bloomington. Will I get screwed financially if I decided to transfer to Indiana (loans, scholarships)? Should I just go to michigan state or go the other route
A: i live in Michigan and have gone to msu many times
they have a ton of foreign and out of state students so i wouldn't worry about not fitting in
it is by far the best university you are looking at.
the best thing to do is go to both and see what the colleges are like
good luck
Q: If you had the chance to go to college in Michigan, Indiana or Pennsylvania, which one would you choose? Why?
Let's say that the schools are kinda equal. I'm thinking of MSU in Ann Arbor - Mitchigan, Indiana University in Bloomingtoon or University of pittsburgh in Pittsburgh - Pennsylvania. I'm looking to attend the school of business in one of these universities. Not sure what to major in yet though. I have a bad college experience in Detroit, MI so which one is the safest, Most suitable for undergraguate studies and offer the best standard of living for a standard college-boy budget excluding tuition because I'm on a scholarship. Safety and friendly people are a MUST. I've had enough in Detroit lol.
A: IU and Michigan are nearly equal as far as their business schools are concerned. Both of them rank in the US News as top 10 programs, and the top 5 for public colleges. You would get an excellent education at either of these. But both of them are very competitive for admission, not sure how easy it is to get into either as a transfer.
If you are a MI resident, then it would probably be much less expensive for you to stay in-state and go to Michigan (especially if you are on a scholarship) than to attend IU-Bloomington as an out of state student, unless you get a university scholarship from IU that will make up for the increase in tuition.
The cost of living and the rent in Ann Arbor is WAY higher than in Bloomington. I lived in B-ton for awhile and have friends who I visit often in Ann Arbor, and I prefer Bloomington because it's a nice small city with a great campus and it's super laid-back and friendly down there. Plus the weather in southern Indiana is much warmer with less snow. Both cities have a good college scene with lots of bars and restaurants and things to do. Both have great sports teams, lots of school spirit, and good parties. I think both are safe and a great place for undergrad, but I still prefer Indiana because it's more of a smaller college town and further from Detroit.
As far as Pitt goes, I only know that they are more reasonably priced for out of state tuition, they do have some decent scholarships, their business school is respectable, and the campus is in a very urban setting. If you want to get away from living in the city and into more of a safe, college town atmosphere, it would definately be better to go to IU or Michigan.

Overall my pick personally would be Subaru WRX if u need 4dr and a trunk, BUT If u dont need to much space, a small trunk and 2dr is fine i would buy the nissan 350Z hands down! without a doubt in my mind.
Good Luck with your choice hope this helped

Q: Morehouse College or full Ride to Indiana University of Pennsylvania?
I would truly like to attend Morehouse College but i was offered a full scholarship to Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I was accepted to both, Which one should I choose

Q: What is the best bank for a college student in Indiana, specifically Indianapolis?
A: When I lived in Indianapolis, I utilized Fifth Third bank with a good amount of success. I currently am a customer with Chase in another region of the country, and I have had some service issues with them. I have also worked with Union Federal off and on in the Indianapolis area, and I have always had a positive experience with them. Another option I would consider student friendly is a local or university affiliated credit union. I did not use a credit union in Indiana, so I am unable to recommend specifics. I have had great success with them in other regions
