Q: Georgia 4 year colleges with low GPA requirements?
Georgia 4 year colleges with low GPA requirements?
I need to know a college in georgia that will admit students with a 2.1 GPA average. A list would be nice.
A: They are called community colleges. No 4-year college or university, even in Georgia, will take someone with a 2.1 GPA. That's barely a passing GPA in college, and college is a lot more demanding than high school - your GPA tells them you aren't ready to take college-level courses. If you really do want to go to college - and think long and hard about why you do if you had so much trouble with high school - start with community college. If you do well there for a few years, you can transfer to a good school that won't consider you now. And if you fail out, you didn't waste much time or money. College certainly isn't for everyone.
Q: What good Journalism (Broadcasting) colleges are there in Georgia and/or close to Atlanta?
What good Journalism (Broadcasting) colleges are there in Georgia and/or close to Atlanta?
I've applied for UGA, but want to see if there are some others just in case. I want to get my undergrad in Broadcasting or Journalism with focus in Broadcasting. Thanks.
A: try to check on this site http://www.google.com/ there you find it..
Q: are there any colleges in georgia that will accept a low gpa?
Like as low as a 1.68?
A: Yes. Community colleges. Any 4-year college that would accept you with that GPA isn't worth attending. That's not a passing GPA in college, and college classes are a lot more demanding than high school classes. That GPA means you didn't really learn anything in high school, and there's probably no reason for college to think you will do any better. If you really want to go to college (and think long and hard about why you do if you had so much trouble in high school), start at community college. If you do well (GPA 3.0 or higher) there for a few years, you can transfer to a good school that wouldn't consider you now. If you don't, you didn't waste a lot of time and money finding out college isn't for you.
Q: What colleges do you think are best to attend in California or Georgia?
I wanted to transfer schools after I get my AA in psychology and I know out of state fees would be a killer, but I'm really ready to get out of Florida and just wanted some advice on good schools.
A: It really depends on what you want to do since some schools have better programs in certain fields than others (ex: if you want to be a teacher, Georgia Southern would you're best choice, it has the best teaching program in the state). And also, it depends on the type of area you want to live in (small town or big city?).
With that being said, I would recommend: Georgia Southern and Georgia College and State University (if you're looking for a school in a relatively small town), Georgia State (if you're looking for a school in Atlanta).
There's also:
University of Georgia, Columbus State, Valdosta State
Q: Are there any Politically Liberal colleges in Georgia? ?
As a Libertarian from Massachusetts, who moved to Georgia,I would very much like to go to a college in Georgia that is Liberal. Are there any colleges like that? I read somewhere That Athens is pretty liberal so...
I don't mean professor-wise, I mean student-wise.
A: That's a pretty funny question - and I mean that seriously, very amusing. Most professors on the whole are liberal, so that would increase your chances. That whole educated elite class that people complained about as the only ones voting for Obama are the same ones who teach college students about politics.
Check out some of the professors at schools you're looking at on this site, as it might say whether they're very liberal or conservative:

Q: Good colleges in atlanta georgia and homes 2?
Where are some good apartments and colleges in atlanta?
I want to be a doctor and a actress.
thankyou
A: The two best colleges in Atlanta are Georgia Tech and Emory. Emory has an outstanding medical school, too.
There is also Georgia State University, which isn’t a bad school, either.
Decatur is generally a nice place so you won’t have a hard time finding a nice house or apartments, although it isn’t that cheap. Georgia Tech is more in the Midtown/Buchkead area and more in the thick of things. A little more expensive and exciting.
I don’t know how good Tech or Emory’s theater program is but their life sciences will be top notch.
Q: what georgia colleges have free application fees?
A: Try asking your counselor or if you go to college fairs, they have free applications.
Q: Which colleges in the state of Georgia have the top biology programs?
I am a senior in high school and i am looking at colleges right now and i think i want to major in biology
A: Your best bet is to choose a school in Georgia which is selective/prestigious overall: they're going to be the ones with strong biology programs. It may also be a good idea to go somewhere with a graduate program in Biology, since you'll have the bonus of getting to work with better faculty at that type of school.
The schools in Georgia that fit that bill are:
Emory University
University of Georgia
Georgia Tech
Georgia State University
Good luck with your college search!
Q: Is there any four year colleges located on coastal cities in texas, georgia, south or north carolina?
Im looking to transfer to a 4 year college offering any kind of degree in art...and i really want the college to be on a coastal city where i can go to the beach often. big or little doesnt matter thanks for the help
A: Three good schools in the Carolinas are Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina, College of Charleston in Charleston, SC and UNC-Wilmington in Wilmington, NC. However if you're an art major you might consider the Savannah College of Art and Design (in beautiful Savannah, GA), one of the best art/architecture/interior design schools in the country..
Q: What are my chances of getting into Georgia College and State University?
I am Hispanic.
I am a girl.
I have a 2.9 GPA.
I've taken/am taking 4 AP courses.
I got a 1690 on the SAT (560 Reading, 550 Math, 580 Writing)
I sent in a recommendation letter from my AP language teacher.
My essay was very, very well written (I am a good writer).
What are my chances?
A: ness92291, The best method to find out info is to find a student. You can locate some contact information for Georgia colleges here. http://www.collegereviewed.com/Georgia-Colleges-Universities.html The students always seem to know what's going on since they spend so much time on campus.

It gives you more information than College Board and Princeton Review would. I would check both of those sites too, but this is just for college's in Georgia. The high school guidance counselors recommend using this, also. Good Luck!

A: What a college is looking for depends on the college. It will always come down to what you want. Join activities that interest you. Find out what you want and look for a college or university that can help you attain that goal. If you aren't sure about what you want to do, look at schools that offer programs that are interesting to you.
