Q: Florida colleges? ..........?
I want to move 2 florida in 4 and a half years and i live in minnesota. What are some good Colleges near or in Orlando ? Please help cuz im clueless!!!! :)
A: The biggest and best College that is close to Orlando is the University of Florida (Gators) I think. It is located in Gainesville.
Q: Concerning Florida colleges and become a music producer.?
Right now I am a freshman in HS. I have always LOVED music, all different genres. I'm starting to think about my future and what I want to do with my life. I'm interested in digital design and web design, but more interested in music. Not performing, but being in the background and working the soundboard.
Is there any way I can attend a FL college for music production? I would prefer to go to University of Florida. Again, I DO NOT want to perform.
What FL colleges would be the best, if possible?
A: There are many schools that offer degrees in Music Business. But, if a school doesn't, you can fashion your own degree by getting your BA in Business Marketing with a Minor in Music. Then do an Internship with a Music company. http://www.ju.edu/programs/music/default.aspx Here's a link to a Florida university that offers a BA in Music Business.
Q: What colleges in Florida would you recommend for a photography major?
I am currently in high school and I 'm trying to figure out what college to go to. I want to pursue a career in photography or photojournalism. I have the grades to get into most colleges in Florida and I always thought I would go to a big state university, but now I'm wondering if a smaller arts college would be a better option. Please let me know what you think. Thank you!
Thanks for the suggestions. =)
By the way, I don't think Full Sail has a photography major. I looked at the website, and they do have filmography, but that's not what I'm interested in at this point. I'm thinking more like magazine or newspaper photography.
A: Florida University also known as FU
Q: What Florida Colleges/university should i consider if i when to fix/work on planes as a career/job?
A: Florida Community College at Jacksonville offers workforce certificates in airframe as well as powerplant mechanics.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is probably your best bet though. It is the only accredited, aviation-oriented university in the world. They offer non degree programs, associates programs all the way up to PhD programs.
Q: Is there a website where I can go to to find admission requirements for Florida colleges?
A: Almost every college has a different admission procedure. Some states are now adopting an application that many schools will use to help cut down on paperwork, but I don't know if FL is one of them. Your best bet is to go to each school's website, look for their admissions link, find out their requirements, and download their application packet.
Q: what are the best colleges in florida for medicine and psychiatry?
i am moving to florida from england around about september of this year and would like to know what people think is a good choice of college for these subjects. and i would also appriciate if anyone knew of any good high schools in the north east as i may have to do another year in school as i'm not quite sure wether the qualifications i have already are sufficiant enough for an american college. thankyou!
A: University of South Florida is a great school.
It is also in Tampa (which isn't really south Florida) and it is a decent City with a fair amount of culture, shoping, and night life. You are also close to other interesting places.
Public Transit is only so-so, plan on getting a car. There are buses thought, just no trains or subway.
It is very warm here though. Summers are hot and humid. But eveyplace has air conditioning.
We are also much cheaper than New York or San Francisco.

By southern Florida, do you mean Miami? If that is what you mean then the best school in southern Florida is the University of Miami (by far). But it is a private university and it is expensive.
In regards to FIU and FAU....
Of the two schools FIU has the better programs and the better overall reputation. FIU has a very good business program. FIU also has a new law school and will be getting a medical school in the next few years. FIU is located in Miami. FIU is a very large school.
FAU has a good education program. FAU also has a very good honors college. The honors college is located in Jupiter. FAU has campuses in Boca Raton, Jupiter, Davie, and a few other areas. FAU's size depends on which campus you are looking at.
Hope this helps, email me if you have any other questions.

I have a question. I am guaduating college High School in June and I sent applications to nearby schools. However, I have been thinking I might like go to a college in Florida. I want the school to be near a beach anywhere in Florida. SO my question is can you tell me any colleges near the beach where I have not missed the deadline. Please help me.
A: I applied to:
Florida State University-- Deadline: 1/21 (missed it) im stilling waiting to here from them.
University of Tampa-- EA II: 1/15 but it says they have Rolling Admissions. I'd find out more about this one, obviously near a beach (its in Tampa Bay) but also in the city. Very good school. I got accepted here.
Eckerd College-- Deadline: 2/15. Very small, in Tampa Bay as well, actually has a small beach on campus, tons of water sports. I got accpeted here too but its not for me, more of a marine science school, not a very good business school (Im looking for business)
Stetson University-- Deadline: 3/1. In DeLand, FL like 20 min from Daytona Beach (more or less). Medium sized Liberal arts school. brand new business building, also some new dorms but some are very old and smell (the one that I walked through was a girls dorm and it smelled pretty bad). I was accpeted here as well.

I was able to find a bunch of universities that have a graduate program in social work but I wanted to know if there are any colleges that have it. I live in NY so I haven't been able to find out anything out. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Q: What Florida 4 year college/colleges are easy to get into?
Ok I averaged around a 2.7 or higher in high school (around the 2.6 range 1-3yr and straight 3.0s senior year). I have also jsut taken the ACTs for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I have been in community college for about 2 years, but have absolutely no credits because of dropping classes due to work. But now I am finally ready to actually enroll into school full time and make that my main focus so I can graduate. So I am looking to go to a university down in florida like FGCU, FAU, or FIU. And I really dont think I have a chance into any. Does anyone know what I have to do to get into these schools or have I already done enough? Any information is helpful and very appreciated.
A: Hello.
From what I know about FAU, you probably don't have much of a shot without a really good standardized (ACT/SAT) score. FAU only accepts about ~50% of people who apply and since they're becoming a bigger school, they're being more selective -- much like UCF.
I really don't know how you'd fare at FIU, although again it's worth a shot if you have a decent standardized test score. I do know that FGCU is really new (I believe less than 20 years old) and newer colleges usually want to expand so they'll take on students with lower-than-average scores.
However, if nonoe of that works out for you, you can always continue with community college, get your Associate's, and basically walk into any college in Florida (FAU, UCF, FSU, UF). Florida has a weird system that way and it's funny because you have people absolutely killing themselves trying to get into UF and then other people who barely break 1000 on their SAT get accepted there.
Anyway, good luck to you!
Go Owls!
