Q: Any good Apartments near El Centro College in Dallas, TX?
Looking to find a place very close to ECC in Dallas, need recommendations, doesn't matter, the closer to the school the better. Thanks.

A: Honestly, it will be a tiny bit hard to find something downtown that is affordable, unless you are rich, then I'd say absolutely you should live in a loft downtown because they are awesome. If you know where the M-Streets are - this area is chock-full of really adorable apartments/duplexes/fourplexes, etc. and they are pretty affordable. The M-Streets is the area south of Mockingbird Lane between (and a bit past) McMillan and Matilda. I hope you're familiar with the area so that I'm not just confusing you! I always see really adorable places with for-rent signs. You can even drive down Greenville Ave. or Matilda Street, I always see good places. It's about 5-10 minutes from El Centro, depending on traffic, but you can just take Greenville to Ross since El Centro is on Ross. I hope I didn't just confuse the heck out of you!

Q: What can you tell me about Paul Quinn College? In Dallas, Texas ?
Is it a good school? whats the reputation of the school?

A: Paul Quinn College is the oldest historically black college in Texas. It has a reputation of being pretty straight-laced, and recently introduced a policy of requiring students to wear "business casual' clothes on campus. The president of Paul Quinn, Michael J. Sorrell, has stated that it is his ambition to make Paul Quinn one of America's elite small colleges. But this seems more a hope than a real prospect. Paul Quinn has never been able to compete academically with the great historically black institutions, like Howard University or Morehouse. Worse, enrollment is in sharp decline, to around 600 students. It had been nearly a thousand students earlier in the decade. The endowment has also declined (even before the current market crash), making it difficult to maintain standards, let alone improve them. Paul Quinn struggles. With a college so rich in history, one has to root for them to succeed. But the reality is harsh, and they will have a hard time surviving, let alone improving their reputation. i hope this this is helpful. You may want to read the Wiikipedia article about Paul Quinn College, and the Dallas Observer story about the problems it is having. Both are below, in the sources. Good luck!!

Q: Allstate college in Dallas became........what?I need my records from when I attended?
I went to allstate college in Dallas,Tx. and they have since then closed,I need my records of attendence and my credits so that I might continue my education in southeast Texas ,where I now live. Can anyone help me?

A: This is all I could find: No state agency in Texas maintains transcripts. Transcripts are supposed to be maintained by the institutions. If an institution has closed, they might have forwarded their records to another institution or left an address where records can be found. If you are looking for transcripts from a closed career or business Institution, please call the Texas Workforce Commission (512-936-3100). If the closed institution was a university or community college, please call 512-427-6524.

Q: What college do i need to go to to become a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader?
I don't know.. and i would like to know. I still don't know what college i want to go to but this one is a possibility... so if you know please let me know!! Thanks

A: The team has open try outs and does not require any college. I would think it is better to be a dancer and not a cheerleader, since they do not do cheers like college or high school cheerleaders. Why don't you contact the team they will give you the requirements and how to apply. The women that are working now must retest next year along with all of the new applicants.

Q: What colleges in Dallas,Texas area will accept credit from Axia college of University of Phoenix? Please help?

A: The University of Phoenix as a whole (including Axia) is regionally accredited. That means that those credits should be eligible to transfer to any university or college. Any college, looking at transfer credits from any regionally accredited college, will take them on a case-by-case basis. But yours are eligible to transfer. Do call admissions at the unis that interest you most, and speak to them about transferring there. When you send them your transcripts, they'll let you know what can and can not transfer.

Q: Is it easy to transfer from North Lake college to UT Dallas?
I'm thinking of going to Northlake next year (I'm currently a senior) And i wanna take Economic as my major at UT Dallas (cuz i wanna be a fund manager) Anyways does anyone know about how much average GPA i have to get????????????? And did anyone transfered to UT Dallas from NorthLake???

A: Your GPA should always be 3.0 or higher for any college. Some colleges accept a GPA of 2.5. Transferring to any college should not be a problem. The difference is that the courses in your major may not be the, exact, same courses needed for the same degree in another college. Each college sets up its own criteria of courses, for graduation, in any given field of study. Good luck!

Q: Where can i get Kobe Beef (Wagyu beef) in dallas tx or college station tx?
I'm craving that kobe beef, does anyone know any good restaurants that sell REAL KOBE beef, not that fake stuff. Also anyone know any good places for a BIG JUICY THICK CUT of prime rib??

A: Do you want Kobe or Wagyu? Kobe is a form of Wagyu beef from the Tajima-ushi breed of cattle that is raised under specific conditions. The "Wagyu beef" designation can legally be applied to the meat from any cattle of the Wagyu breed; it's a genetic thing, not a place appellation or a reference to how the cattle were raised and fed. A Kobe steak can run $50+ while Wagyu is much more expensive at a whopping $100-$200+ per steak. For the lower priced Kobe Prime Rib, try: Chamberlain's Steak and Chop House 5330 Belt Line Rd Dallas TX 75254 972-934-2467
