I am looking for real colleges that offer the programs because I keep finding phony colleges online. I am in the NY/CT area if that helps.
Thanks
Thanks I did not know that. I think I will look into online and campus classes that go hand in hand. I just can not devote to a all campus schedule.
A: Lots do -- but none that are respected universities.
Many schools are starting to offer some classes online -- but not whole programs. They are usually restricted to introductory classes.

Q: I am really interested in Herbs and nutrition. What are the best colleges that have programs in that field?
I don't really want to go to an online college or anything like that. So I just wondered, what are some credible and more prestigious schools that have specialized programs in herbs and nutrition?
A: Bastyr University in Seattle is regionally accredited, has a great reputation, and offers undergraduate degrees in Nutrition and Herbal Sciences.

(Just be prepared, no matter how good your education and how legitimate the school where you get it, that you're going to run into ignorance like you're seeing here in other responses. If you can think for yourself and not let that kind of negativity get you down, then this could be a good career choice for you!)
Q: Do colleges' rank programs they teach so that I can research those programs and not just the college itself?
Do colleges rank programs they offer i want to know so that I can research those programs and not just the college itself if it is possible? or if you know of any other website that ranks college programs that would help a lot
how do I find which colleges are strong in certain areas of study? Like college programs rankings not rankings of colleges themselves e.g. accounting, finance, engineering, marine biology...etc...
I want to know if there is a website I can go to look these things up because when I use college websites they say things like ranked 5th hardest to get into or best college news paper, they don't have rankings on the programs they offer....please help
A: US News & World Report ranks graduate departments. There's a book called the Gourman Report which ranks departments. Its rankings are somewhat controversial because the methodology is secret. However, the only thing that's really bad about its rankings is that the University of Michigan is systematically ranked too high (probably because Jack Gourman, who writes the book, used to be a professor there).
Q: What colleges have the best marine biology programs in Massachusettes?
programs in colleges specialzing in marine science?
A: BU has a grad program that is centered in woods hole
Q: Are there any guaranteed admissions programs to any colleges, say if you go to a summer program?
Hi,
I've heard of summer programs at college's where if you are selected to attend you get guaranteed admission at that college. Does anyone know if these programs exist for Princeton, Cornell, Columbia, UPenn, Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, or any college? Thanks!
A: No there are NO guaranteed admissions programs at any prestigous colleges simply because the need to be able to reject who they choose and if they gave you guaranteed admission they couldnt do it. And if you got rejected you could turn around and sue saying they guaranteed admissions. The only guaranteed admission programs I know of are attending a community college in your area, getting an associates degree and you can transfer to a public university in your area. Admissions is guaranteed if you do that and take the appropriate college maths and English classes.but not at any ivy leagues.
Q: what colleges have good writing programs?
I am a prospective student from CA looking for colleges with good writing programs where I can get a B.A. and then possibly a M.A. I am UC quality, and I am wondering what schools are out there with highly acclaimed programs which focus on all kinds of writing.
A: For the best education, I recommend choosing a 4-year school for your BA, and then switching for the MA. This gives you a concentrated program at each phase of education, plus two different faculties from whom to learn.
The only specific school I know of with a strong writing program is Knox College (Galesburg IL). It's one of the 40 schools in "Colleges that Change Lives". The student literary journal, "Catch" regularly wins national awards, and the faculty are quite accomplished, exhibiting a variety of interests.
My son is a student there now. Although not a writer, he's enjoyed his English comp classes. I also got my BA there, but in the sciences -- and I took fiction writing as an elective, having a good time.
E-mail me if you want any more information from me (in addition to what you receive from the admissions office).
