Q: What is a good college/university to transfer to from a community college?
I am going to a community college and am looking to transfer after 2 years. I'm wondering what college/university to transfer to. I am thinking of going into the nursing field.
A: This all depends on what state you live in Texas, for example, has many great nursing colleges such as U of H, Sam Houston, Baylor, or Rice.
Q: What is the best art college/university you can recommend?
I'm looking into a post high-school art education, and have sifted through many a college, but the list always seems too long. What is the best college/university in your opinion that you could recommend outside of Idaho? (I currently live in the state, and would really like to get out.) If you could include a link to their website, that'd be great. Thanks!
A: The easiest way to find out info is to find a student. You can find some contact information for Idaho universities here. http://www.collegereviewed.com/Idaho-Colleges-Universities.html The students always seem to know what's going on better than outsiders since they get to experience the classes and the lifestyle.
Q: What are the requirements to teach at a college/university?
I am 21, just graduated with a bachelors in health care administration. I eventually want to teach this at a college or university. What are the requirements?? I know being an educations major is not required because some of the professors at my school have an MBA in health.
A: You're going to need a graduate degree; that'll be enough to qualify you to teach. An education degree is not required – those degrees are primarily for people who want to teach primary and secondary ed.
But you'll probably want to get a terminal degree such as an MBA or PhD if you want a high-paying, tenure-track job. In other words, a regular MA isn't enough.
Even then, a degree is not a guarantee. Jobs are competitive, and you'll need to go through a long hiring process. The first job you get might not be your ideal job or in an ideal location. And working as a college prof is serious business – teaching is only a fraction of the work. It's usually considerably more than a full-time job.
Building a career as a college professor is a fairly long process, but in the end you'll have a relatively secure job – and hopefully an enjoyable one.
Q: What is the best college/university that offers a associate to doctorate (if available) in the Tech field?
I want to be an computer and electronics technician and in networking(The networking part is not much importance, mainly its the computer and electronics technician part.)
Note:Price is not important and it has to be a good college or university with a good reputation
Im still in my freshman year but its good to think and plan ahead. Please give the website to the school(if any)
If possible can you provide a direct link to the programs they offer
A: The best schools don't grant associates. IMHO the two best technical schools in the world are MIT and Cal-tech (I believe they are the 2 best in the world period). However MIT is murder to get into. Cal-tech is easier (but still hard) and is my suggestion. In fact the three schools I suggest are Harvey Mudd, Cal-tech and Rose Hullman:

Sure. Check out:

Q: Where can I find a college/university that is strong academically and in the arts?
I am looking for a college/university in an urban area with a top fine art program. Any help would be fantastic.
A: You should try College Board's College MatchMaker tool. It is a useful tool that generates a list of colleges that match your preferences. Just play around with it and you should be able to find some good colleges that fit your needs.
I also recommend http://www.careersandeducation.webofferinfo.com which is a pretty good site that helps you find the right college for you.
Q: What do you guys think the best four year College/ university is if i want to become a missionary?
I think I want to major in adult medicine, veterinary practice, and minor in bible studies... what would be the best college/ university??
A: Check out the colleges in your specific demoniation first.
Q: what college/university has a good reputation for its graphic design program?
this is for a project I'm doing, so it doesn't matter where the college or university is.
A: The top design school in the US is RISD -- the Rhode Island School of Design.
The link below gives you a list of highly ranked design/art schools. You can find more information there.
Q: Is it possible for a deaf living in india to study in hearing college/university fo MS in US ?
In India, I studied in hearing school and now in hearing college. I've planned to study MA comp sci in US next few years. I am confused whether it is possible for me to enter hearing college/university cuz i do not use hearing aids nor sign language nor interpreter. I have studied in my own methodology. Is it possible for me to do same methodology in US ?
A: There is no reason you couldn't study at a hearing university. In fact, there are lots of laws about disabilities in the US that require universities to provide really extensive assistance to people with difficulties. You might want to contact someone in admissions or in the computer science department or in the office for people with disabilities (called institutional equity at my alma mater) and talk to them about what services are provided. You might also want to explain your "own methodologies" and see if those methodologies would cause problems. Good luck!
Q: What are the best college/university to study Architecture?
As of now, I know when I get out of college I want to design houses, so I want to be an architect. Where would be the best college/university to study architecture at, and where would be the best place to go for graduate school for architecture
A: Design Intelligence ranks architecture schools annually; here is a link to an article discussing the rankings and showing how they've changed over the last 5 years:
http://www.architectmagazine.com/industry-news.asp?sectionID=1006&articleID=602885
Ultimately, though, the best graduate school for you will be based on what your first degree was in, and what you aim to get out of an architectural education, as different architecture schools have different focuses.
Q: What is a good college/university in London, England?
I really want to go to England f or college. What is a good diverse college or university to go to?
A: check the uni chooser tool at www.push.co.uk it lists things such as diversity and other ratings so you can find the best uni for you
Its also worth checking what unis do the degree you are interested in at www.ucas.ac.uk which is the website you have to use to apply to university in the UK
Q: What is it like to go to college/university part-time?
What is it like going to part-time studies in college/university?
I am looking going to study part-time in college/university and I am also looking to work while I am in school, right now I think it’s the best option for me and I am wondering how many days of the week and hours spent in the classroom???
Also I am wondering if I am able to switch from part-time studies to full-time studies in the furture.
Thanks for you help :)
A: Well if the reason you want to go to college part-time is because you want to work as well then you could just go full-time instead. Thats what I'm doing. I have 5 classes, 2 mon-thur and 3 on fri. all of my classes are an hour long, give or take 10 mins. and my last class ends at 2:00 every day so I have plenty of time to work part-time and study. But everyone's different and you need to make sure that you can handle the work load. You will have to wait until the semester is over before switching. (All college courses are semester long and you register for all new classes the next semester, however many you want)
If you go to the earliest orientation, you can sign up for ANY class, this will really benefit you so you can open up your schedule. Any course is offered on multiple days at multiple times, you just have to pick the class that works for you before it fills up! So you could have all morning classes or all night classes or whatever.
I really hope this helps! I know how confusing college can be!
Q: What is a good university/college that I could go to in NJ or in Philadelphia ?
In my case I want to continue and go to a medical school to extend my education
So what/which is a good college/university that has good courses that would fit or enhance my requirements for going into a medical school
[I think some colleges have a medical school as a part of their university, if so do you know any?]
i appreciate it, thanks :)
★ܫܠܡܐ★שָׁלוֹם★سلام★
A: In NJ, Princeton is obviously the best. Rutgers is pretty good.
In Philly (or nearby), the best schools are UPenn, Haverford, Swarthmore, Villanova, and Penn State.
Q: What High School Courses Should I take to get into a good college/university to be a Mechanic?
what courses should i take in grade 11 to get in a good college or university to be a mechanic. I want to own a customization garage when i get older so what should i do?
A: I believe in order to become a certified mechanic you only have to go to trade school. I do not know anybody who goes to a university to learn how to become a mechanic; however, since you want to own your own business it might be a good idea to have a business background. You can self educate your self on how to be a mechanic by reading different books you can pick up at the library. There is no specific courses in high school that will help you. You may find physics interesting but it is a very tough course. Good luck!
Q: Are all college/university professors required to do research and publication?
I am considering pursuing a PhD in French Linguistics. One of the career options in this path is teaching at the college level. However, I'm not sure that I would enjoy the research and publication required of university professors. Are all professors required to do research?
A follow up question: can a PhD in French Linguistics teach French more generally, or would my career become limited to schools that have a French Linguistics program?
A: Yes, you can do it, and there are schools out there that will accept you.
As for that first answer: getting a PhD is something you do for your own reasons, and outside of universities, a PhD is a great degree for raising one's salary.
Go for your dream!
Q: What proportion of dinners should a college/university studying g/f pay for if the b/f works full time?
If the b/f has a good decent job and the g/f is still studying at university/college, what proportion of the dinners should the g/f be paying for?
A: it should be mutual or more so that the bf pays, or cook at home!
