college technology
college technology questions and answers
More information about college technology at Education News.
Q: Is a technology college better than a community college?
For example: The New York City College of Technology vs: The Borough of Manhattan Community college.
Both schools offer the same associates degree to become a RN, but there is a $4,000 price difference.
A: They both offer the same quality education I am sure. I do not know if you mean price wise or by means of the quality of education offered. The answer for this would lie in the schools accreditation records. The difference in price relies mainly on location. If the school is downtown or not, would have a lot to do with the pricing. The economy is down. Go with the less costly education if it offers the exact same education.
Q: Whats the difference between a SUNY technology college an and a University college?
Which is better and more respected?
A: Well, the obvious answer is that SUNY is in the state of New York and Universities are, well, universal.
But in general, SUNY colleges are more or less as respected as other state universities, but you need to look into specific colleges for your intended field of study, as well as which colleges are feasible for you to attend, and then look them up either with your school councilor's reference books, or on something like the US News rankings. I would suggest just sending out applications everywhere first, thee choose from the one you are accepted at. If they have open registration, then it may not be the best to choose from...

Q: Is there a difference between CIS and Information Technology as college majors?
Computer Information Systems vs Information Technology.
Before I get responses stating YES, I'd like to know what the differences are, please. :)
A: Basically none. The same name for what in practice amounts to the same thing. Those degrees, and degrees in computer science or software engineering (and probably some other names that are buried a bit deeper than off the top of my head) are all the basic quals for workers in IT.
Thanks
Bill
Q: What college has the best Computer Engineering Technology Major in Texas?
I'm a junior and i am trying to figure out what college in Texas has the best major for Computer Engineering Technology
A: Texas Tech has a great program. One of the best in the country.
Q: Is it a safe walk from the New York City College of Technology to the Brooklyn Bridge?
i dont know that area all too well. also is Adams Street a major road?
A: Short and safe. I probably wouldn't do that alone very late at night, but only because it's deserted, not because there are any particular problems. During the day and evening, perfectly fine.
Q: Is New york city college of technology a good college for associate degree in advertising design?
A: Yes, it is.
Q: Has anyone gone to Lincoln College of Technology? I was looking into short term programs. ?
I am pregnant and would like to get some training before my next child gets here.
Could you tell me about your experience? Were you able to find a job afterwards?
A: Hello!
Lincoln is a great school and has been around since 1946. They also have an online division (http://www.lincolnedu.com/lincoln-online) which has many degrees you can take online. Have you looked at their medical billing and coding program?
Q: whats the difference between computer science and information technology major in college?
I will be going to college soon and I don't know which major is similar but also different. I wish to be a IT pro(specialist) and I don't even know all the things about IT pro. Please help me with this.
A: Depending on the Univerisity, the Computer Science (CS) degree should put an emphasis on knowledge about the machine (computer). You would learn how computers work and how best to develop programs that run on them. This type of major is ideal if you would like to pursue a career as a programmer.
The information technology degree probably has more to do with using technology to solve business problems at a high-level. This might lead to a career where you deal with people more than computers. You will also need to have a good understanding of the business or industry that employs you. This would be a less technical career path.
