Q: Where do you get college books really cheep for nurse anesthistest? Ineed to find some that are really cheep?
They will be for the college classes that i will be taking in the spring of 2010 so im looking for them a head of time. They are to be any type of nursing books that fall in to the college criteria? I will also be taking a CNA class this spring of 2009?
A: You shouldn't buy them now because there might be a new edition coming out before then. Also, you should get the books that are reqired and you won't know that until it's closer to start time. Concentrate now on any books you need for the CNA class and don't worry about the others until next year.
Q: Can I sell my college books to my college's bookstore although I bought them elsewhere?
I'm looking for a cheaper way to get my college books and I have found some online elsewhere.
If it helps, I go to Harrisburg Area Community College.
A: It depends on the bookstore. I can tell you the largest college bookstore company (Follett) will buy a textbook from anywhere.
Large national companies will scan the barcode of the book and see if any of the colleges where they own stores will be requesting that particular book. If there are a lot, they will give you a high payback price...if not, they won't buy it back.
I learned that most bookstores will pay 10-40% of your original buying price. For example, for a 208$ book, they paid me back 44$. Your best bet is www.half.com...I (bought and sold) online last semester and was extremely happy with the prices I got and how much I was paid.
Q: Just wondering where do you buy your college books from?
I start a community college this month. I was wondering where do you buy your college books from like what websites or do you just buy them at the store. I also hear alot about amazon so i was just wondering are the books they sell legit?
A: I get mine from ebay all the time..then when done I resell them. Also you can rent books for even cheaper at cheggs.com. and yes this is perfectly okay to get your books from somewhere else..just make sure the ISBN is the same as what the school bookstore has. I usually go to the book store at the college and write down the ISBN, name of book, and author and then come home and hop on the computer and do my shopping. I once got an english book for less than 10.00 on Ebay saving me 80.00 dollars and resold it for 30.00!
Q: It is wise to sell your undergraduated college books?
I have some old college books, and I need to sell them but I do not know if it is wise to sell books related to my career, like Accounting and Economics?
A: I would try to sell it and try to recoup your money spent. If you don't need the extra cash, then go ahead and keep it. It won't hurt you except for the fact that the value of books goes downhill when a new edition comes out. By then, you might as well keep the books.
If you really think you will need it in your career, then by all means keep it. It won't hurt.
Q: What's the best website to sell my college books at?
I have like 11 college books that I need to get rid of desperately! And alot of sites seem confusing or they don't give me a good amount for my book. Does anyone know any good, easy sites I can sell my used books at? Thanks
Does half.com charge me to list my books on their site?
A: ebay
Q: Why them College Books be so expensive?
I supposed getting some of the books for College and they be like $300, how paper going to cost that much, thats a rip off.
You know why it be costing that much?
(I am either want to be a Foren Language Teacher or English Teacher, I dont know this my only second year)
A: When you find out the answer, tell me. What bothers me is that teachers will make you buy a $400 textbook, then only use half of it! Or the book comes with an online code and then you never use that code. As someone at my school pointed out, part of the problem is that the consumer (the students) and the supplier (the professors) are not the same people. They don't really realize how much the books cost or even what is sold with the books.
Q: A store or a web site for cheap college books?
I am looking for a cheap website or a book store that sells books for college, that is very cheap. Any help would be great, thanks
A: www.half.com it is a part of ebay but it is awesome I saved a ton of money. Also www.craigslist.com and then pick the city closest to you and also if you belong to www.facebook.com you join the group of the school you go to and they have a marketplace on there where people are willing to selll books trade book almost anything. Good luck finding books

A: Try Here. Textbook.com is the most reliable source.
Q: What is the best site to buy books for COLLEGE??
Im going back to school in a few weeks, been out of school for 4 years. I was wondering how YOU save money on books, or is there a good site to get your books cheap besides the college book store.
A: I have some websites.
www.half.com
www.bookfinder.com
edited to add:
www.addall.com
www.allbookstores.com

im looking to sell my college books online and get money. i have seen some websites such as moneyforbooks.com. but how do i know if these are not just scam websites? what is a good website to sell books?
A: half.com
ebooks.com
collegetextbooks.com
ebay.com
Q: Where to buy cheap books for college?
So..I will be starting college soon as a freshman and I heard (and know) that books in college cost a lot (too much!), so I was thinking what are the alternatives than buying from a college bookstore (which is too expensive)?
Where could I buy college books at low and affordable prices?
A: Another option is http://Valorebooks.com
Depending on the books you'll need, you may need to compare book prices, which is best if you want to buy online.
If you do find something good on Valorebooks.com use the coupon code:
book55
(never expires) and you'll save an extra 5%.
Happy searching and good luck on your first year of college!!
Q: Where can I buy cheap college books in Los Angeles?
I'm about to start my college classes but the books are way to expensive. Can any one tell me some websites or stores nearby Torrance where i could buy some cheap college books!!!!!
A: Do you go to El Co? There is a bookstore across Crenshaw from campus that sells textbooks a little bit cheaper that the El Co bookstore. I think it's called Textbooks, Inc.
If that is still too expensive, I highly recommend that you wait until the first day of class and ask your professor if it is ok to use an older edition of the textbook. You can find older editions on line at Amazon Marketplace, Ebay, and Half.com. Last year I bought my Anthropology textbook for 8 cents. Seriously.
Q: Anywhere you can download college books for free?
I was wondering if you could download your college books (the .pdf file) for free off frostwire or somewhere like that?
A: There actually are some minor texts on shareware programs but they are only for "universal classes" that are in just about every school and use the same textbook. This is one of the reasons that book companies keep making new editions. Sorry =(
Q: How do you go about getting college text books from a grant?
I'm going out today to purchase college text books. I got a grant from my school but I don't know how I'm suppose to gain access to that grant. So how do I gain access to that grant to purchase my college text books?
A: The grant funds were (or will be) paid directly to your student account. Your school will apply those funds to your bill - if there is money left over after it's applied to tuition and fees, you can also apply those funds to your bookstore purchases.
Different schools have different procedures for applying financial aid to bookstore purchases. Some financial aid offices require you to stop by the office and pick up a voucher that you simply hand over at the bookstore when you check out with your books. Other schools are set up so that the cashier at the bookstore can immediately confirm that you are a financial aid recipient, and they'll just scan your student ID and you'll be on your way.
My advice is to check with financial aid - or the bookstore - and just ask them how your school's procedure works. Just go ahead and give the bookstore a call - I bet they can answer the question for you, before you even head over there.
Good luck - I hope that helped. Enjoy your first semester!
Q: How to find College books you can read online?
I want to read a book on the internet because i do not owned the book. its a book for one of my college classes. Book is - American History: A survey (volume 1) by Alan brinkley
A: Im not really sure but I do know that the school library usually keeps a copy of text books used during the semester so students can use them at the library. If its not crucial to read it tonight maybe check tomorrow at the college and see if they do this. I don't know if you want to purchase a book but I got my art history book for 28 dollars shipped from someone on ebay. It was 98 dollars in the school bookstore and 75 used it was also 75 dollars used at amazon.com...so if you know the edition and the authors name and title and what the book looks like try going to ebay books and see if you can find one you can afford. This is the best I can tell you. I will be looking at other peoples answers incase I need to find an online book sometime......goodluck
