Q: How high do Lewis and Clark College's vaulters jump?
I vault about 9'6'' (on a bad day)-10'6''(on a good day). How good are the vaulters at this college? I want to know if I could vault there.

A: Their vaulters do not jump high enough to be listed in the results or news stories so I imagine they do not get very high. If you can do 11' or better you should be on the travel team.

Q: What is it like to be a student at Lewis and Clark College?
I've applied there, but I want to know more about the vibe. Is it lively? fun parties, cool night scene, more mellow, liberal? etc etc

A: Assuming you are speaking of the Lewis and Clark College in Portland, it is a very liberal campus as is the city surrounding it. The campus is gorgeous and pretty small. Downtown Portland has towns of clubs and bars if you are of age. There are also a few underage clubs. As for the partying, I'm not sure.

Q: Spelman College or Clark Atlanta University?
I'm planning on going to school in Georgia or some other school down south. Spelman College and Clark Atlanta University are the two colleges I had in mind. Which do you think is a better school? I'm still thinking about what school I want to major in. It's probably going to boil down to something dealing with business, fiance, or teaching. Having that said, which school is the best for those kind majors. If you have anymore good colleges in mind, please tell. I am mainly looking into HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities).

A: Spelman by far, Clark is easier to get into but as you know, far less prestigious in terms of name recognition in corporate america. Good Luck!

Q: Do any BYU colleges accept transfer credits for clark collage?
Im looking to do a running start program at Clark College next year, but I dont know if those credits will transfer to a BYU (Brigham Young Univeristy) either Idaho, Provo, or Hawaii. Does anyone know? Thanks!

A: By running start, do you mean that you are still in High School? If so, your best bet is to get your associates there and then transfer to BYU. That will definitely transfer. Cheers!

Q: Can I get in to Lewis & Clark College ?
I'm applying to colleges at the moment, and want to know if i have shot of getting in to Lewis and Clark. GPA: 3.7 (weighted is 4.2) Grades: All A's (except three Bs) throughout high school Honors courses taken/being taken (in addition to things like geometry, you know, basic stuff): AP World (4 on test) AP U.S. (4 on test) AP Language (3 on test) AP Environmental Science 2 yrs AP Studio Art AP Government 4 years of German, 2 of which were college level Took Philosophy Course at Community College AP Literature Activities: 4 year CIF, Varsity-Scholar Athlete. Pole vault captain, broke school record in pole vault junior year. President of Art Club on campus (we paint murals, print journals, and compete in competitions in community) VP of Philosophy Club I was also artist of the Month 2x, and was accepted into a 2 year oil painting apprenticeship with a nationally acclaimed oil painter. I've sold my work, been shown in galleries 2x. Interned with an interior designer (paying job) and worked as a head counselour for kindergarteners at an art camp, where I was offered an assistant position under a nationally award winning picture book illustrator. I've also won other art contests in the region... I've restored a Native American site, done archival illustrations for museum at the site. I'm a very, very strong english student. I'm a horrible test taker (I couldnt test in to the honors english program, they had to move me up when i had over a 103% in a regular class) but a strong writer. My english teacher is writing my recommendation letter, and I know it will be convincing because he told me i am the most intelligent, and overall best student he's ever had. So this means (hopefully) that my essays will be very strong. Testing: subject tests: Literature: 600 World Hist: 600 SAT: 1800 this is a very basic, unflattering outline of a few of the things I have done. Do you think I have a shot of getting in to lewis and clark?

Hi, I am deciding on attending between Hampshire College and Clark University. Could you please help me out which one is better in academics and more recognized? I am a major in Economics and International Relations. Thanks!

A: They are both good academically, but Hampshire is a very hippie, out-doorsy, no-shoes-wearing, weed smoking college. If that's what you're looking for, great. If not, maybe Clark is a better option.

Q: Im in Bible college right now and I am looking to transfer to Clark atlanta University for the fall semester?
Im looking to transfer for the fall semester if you are a transfer student you dont have to show ACT scores just high school transcripts. Home school Students applying have to take ACT/SAT. Does this apply to me? Also How would they treat my credits the are bible school classes although i want to get a degree in religion from there but they are not similar courses. Help!

A: Is the bible school an accredited University? If so they count. Welcome to Atlanta.

Q: Are U Of L forwards Earl Clark and Terrence Williams the best forward duo in college basketball?


A: I'be watched them the last 3 or 4 games and they compliment each other well. If they aren't best forward combo in the nation, I'd like to know who is.

Q: ok I just graduated from highschool and Im stuck between Morehouse College& Clark Atlanta U Where should I Go?
I mean I can understand that Morehouse is all male and that might not be that great, but Spelman college is all female and makes up for Morehouse's shortage. But Clark Atlanta U, has a alright B school. What should I Do.....?

A: Well, Morehouse seems like the better college but... its men only! I don't know about you but... that would sway my opinion... somewhat...

Q: Me and my friend would like to walk around Clark Atlanta's College campus?
My friend and I are visiting Atlanta next week(May 22-26) and going to the college campus is on our list of things to do. We want to experience what it is like to walk the grounds of Clark Atlanta University and some of the other HBCU's. We plan on moving to Atlanta soon and possibly attending one of these colleges. When we arrive we want to mingle and meet new people there on campus. So what I am asking is, When is the best time to walk the campus (when everyone is outside)?, which college campus has a more active environment (as far as socializing)?, and what is a more better day to go?. And is it even permitted for us to freely visit the schools or walk the campus grounds?

A: Yes the semester is over so campus is going to be pretty dry. plus all the summer programs will not have started yet. At least you can get a feel for what its like... walk the strip on Clark's campus as that's where most students typically hang out. Also in font of Morehouse's parking deck. As a female, you will be able to walk around Spelman, Clark and Morehouse, but once again, schools out so it will be dry. Bring photo id though in case you asked by the guards there. Its fun though... go back during homecoming thats the best time...

Q: Help I dont like my college! CLARK ATLANTA UNIVERSITY?
Well Im going back to school from my lonng christmas break im not excited at all.I dont get along with my roommate she ismore into the social scene and Im more laid back ffocused on my work .Im 20 years old im a transfer student that is living on campus in a freshmen dorm. I HATE IT! Im introverted depending on the situation.so im not really out there like that. I am involved in my church even though im shy i do it anyway. But i go to school in atlanta and i havent met anybody on my level yet.What i've met so far are girls that are just so loud,rude and ghetto.I dont want to be around that.I have aquaintances but i find myself just being a loner most of the time.I think thats what i have to do.any advice

A: Give it some time. Some people start out hating school and learn to love it later. Get involved in activities at school. Find another quiet person to do any type of fun activity with. Remember, its not what you think of school, its what you are there to do which is to get a degree. You will come into your own in due time.

Q: Anyone knows good Colleges in Clark County Nevada?
Hi i'm thinking about transfering colleges, i currently attend Barry university in Miami, Fl which is about $ 30,000 something I want to transfer to a college in Henderson nevada or near that Anyone knows a good college and less expensive than barry? A: Well, there is CSN- Community College of Southern Nevada which has a campus in Henderson and many, many campuses in Las Vegas. There is Nevada State College which is located in Henderson. Then there is University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) which is about a mile off of the strip and across from the airport. Each college has its pros and cons. You can visit the websites to determine which might be best suited to your needs.

Q: Is Clark Atlanta a Hard school to get into for transfer students?
My GPA is a 3.0 i attend a private college. I applied to Clark, I just want to know if its really hard to get accepted to Clark??
