Q: What is the best California college that is close to the coast?
I love California and I want to go to a good college
A: can't go wrong with Southern California or Stanford or even UCLA
Q: Which California college or university should I apply to if I want to become a teacher/professor?
I am currently debating whether I should become a high school teacher or a college professor. However, I am about to start my second year at a community college and I am majoring in English. I am currently meeting requirements for San Jose State University, but am curious about other options out there. Thanks a lot!
A: Teacher - any of them. Professor - any UC school.
Q: What is a good college in California that has an excellent program with marine biology?
I was wondering which college in California was the best for marine biology. I'm hoping to attend that field one day since I love science and wildlife under the ocean.
A: If you want to be a marine biologist, you'll need a PhD. And frankly, none of the schools that offer a major in marine bio are all that great - it's something you'd specialize in while working on your PhD. You can go into any marine bio PhD program with a biology background, so your best bet is to get into the best school you can and study biology rather than picking a mediocre school just because they have undergrad studies in marine bio. You'll get it all at the PhD level.
Q: What is the best engineering College in California?
i would like to know the best college or U.C or w/e for engineering in California.
or the best overall, but California's best would be perfect.
thanks!
A: It's a tie, Cal Tech and Cal Poly.
Q: i live in michigan but i want to move to california for college, can I?
I graduated this year and I really want to move to california, San Diego, for college. I want to go to a community college for the first couple years and then maybe transfer to a better school later. I dont have family there..is is possible to go there?
A: Yeah, of course! And if you go to community college in CA for a couple of years, you'll get the in-state discount for a California school. I believe you have to live in a state for a year and a half in order to be considered a resident of the state.

Q: Who goes to a community college in California and have heard of TAG?
I was just curious because it seems like many of those who attend a community college in California has never heard of TAG or similar transfer programs. I want to see if the community colleges need to do a better job letting their students know about transfer options. Thanks!
Where would you hear about it? From someone who went through the transfer process? Family members? I want to find out if you have heard of it from someone in the California school system.
A: i have...heard it from my counselor.
Q: What is the best Bible College in California?
I am planning to move to California from New Zealand after I finish High School, and I was wondering what is the best Bible College in California??
A: ...
Q: What is a good college in California for a Creative Writing major?
I am a senior (class of '09). I plan to go to a junior college for my general ed, then transfer to a university of some kind, but I'm not sure which to pick. Any suggestions for in and around California?
I'd prefer one at which I could also minor in Film/Film Production, or Screenwriting.
My GPA is a 3.5, I recently took the SATs but haven't gotten the results yet...
A: There aren't that many colleges in CA that offer a creative writing major.
The best ones are Pitzer, U San Francisco, and USC (could minor in film/film production/screenwriting/something similar),
Q: Is it true that the California Veterans college tuition waiver program also will pay for you...?
Is it true that the California Veterans college tuition waiver program also will pay for you to get your masters and doctorate degrees if you continue at a California public school? My cousin in the navy said this. Is it true?
A: I think so, but be aware that for you to be eligible you need to be a dependent of a disabled or deceased veteran and have to make less than $10,000 a year (if you're the disabled veteran's child). And it also doesn't give you a free ride, it just knocks off the mandatory fees. It will still be up to you to pay for books and such.
Q: Has anyone attended the California College of Art or the Academy of Art in San Francisco?
Can you tell me about it? I would like to apply to get into the interior design program at one of these schools. Please tell me about your portfolio, costs of living- anything at all, really! Thanks!
A: Ca. college of Art is better. The professors are better and is higher rated than the other.
